billy doesn't really like to touch people he doesn't know well, he sort of just stiffens up and hopes they go away, but he is the Touchiest Person Ever if he likes you. combine that with a touch starved boyfriend and you have to literally peel him and jason apart if you want them to do anything. jason may whine a little bit when you make him let go. people make fun of jason going from hot shot to [insert uninspired gay joke] and he slaps them and smiles lovingly at billy

zack gets the genius idea to go down a hill in a shopping cart. he ropes billy into helping him make a ramp. jason and kim are waiting at the bottom with ice packs and bandages. trini is recording it on her phone

the power rangers, for halloween, make really shitty power rangers costumes. running with the theme, they all dye their hair to match their colours. zack is disappointed that he doesn't get to do shit cause his hair is already black, kim suggests purple highlights, a photo of him with bleached streaks in his hair at the salon pre-dye becomes someone's phone background

when zack has had a particularly bad night he goes straight for jason (solid boy, good for reassuring back rubbing), when he's not sleeping well he goes to billy's (half the time he's up all night tinkering or reading and is good to just be around), trini is the best for clingy cuddles where even sleeping she's firmly attached (typically his choice after something potentially life threatening happened to the team), and kim plays with his hair while he falls asleep

for real though. im taking this as canon. this is 100% his relationship w/all of the rangers. like, on some level they all do this and crawl into each others’ beds (in which case, zack’s good for pillowtalk distractions and just general warmth), but MAN zack just craves consistency in a way that none of them do (bc their lives are fairly stable?) and this just. how did u manage to completely capture his relationship w/all of them so PERFECTLY in less than 200-something characters

So although I believe in Mom Friend Jason™ like everyone else, I feel like Zack, despite his impulsive parkour-ish ass, is the one to always notices the smallest change in the others first, like he can just tell when Trini's parents are being especially hard on her, or Jason's dad went on another rant, and is always able to come up with a thoughtfully simple way to cheer them up. I think it would take more for Jason to notice something was wrong and is more of a pep-talker, but Zack, man. Zack.

TRUE!!!!!!! zack is so much more aware than ppl give him credit for. and like....he’s never forward abt being supportive? but he tries to make his friends laugh when he notices their distress, and he gives them distractions in whatever form they need.

like, kim has a really rough day w/her parents. its just...bad. (she never talks abt her family issues, either, but zack can see right thru her.) so he asks her to teach him some ~cheerleading~ moves so that he can fight better and she spends the better part of the afternoon teasing him for his inability to do some of the things she does (even though he 100% can, he’s just trying to make her smile)

my internet went down so i watched power rangers again. billy and trini helping jason fix the pickup truck. zack """helping""". kim is 90% certain that her and zack are just there to look pretty and punch dents out of the paneling but she gets to raid jason's fridge so score, really

id say trini zack and jason are the highest, billy's having fun but trying his damndest not to go overboard, and kim is keeping track of their antics. zack totally tries and jason gets a blurry photo of him upside down with his back against the wall, half naked. he almost manages it before he loses his balance and falls onto trini and steals two handfuls of billy's cheetos

gskdlgjdsklj team mom kim who just rolls her eyes but lets it all happen anyway. i LOVE IT. (also billy honestly is the sneakiest bc he definitely references it ALL THE TIME but no one gets it except for kim and the two of them sometimes just look at each other when one of the others says something they did that night and DIE laughing)
