what really frustrates me about antisemitism in the pitt fandom is that we need to hold people’s hands and provide sources and images and explanations that people deem “reliable enough” in order to explain why something might come off as antisemitic (bc our words are not enough apparently). and even after countless explanations Those People still bend over backwards in their reasoning for why their posts are not actually antisemitic and you’re just dickriding a white man or whatever

I just want this to be out there just in case. Lately I’ve seen people get upset over the phrase ‘there arnt any good representation of platonic relationships’ and while I understand that this is usually related to how little lgbtq+ rep relationships are shown, especially good ones, I do want to let you know that there are arospec people (myself included) that are saying this and they mean it as ‘there’s really no aro rep and the few is usually shown as being a heartless being incapable of love.’

Not only that but often times a lot of the people who I’ve seen complain about others saying ‘platonic rep’ are usually aphobic or exclusionist in some way. I’m not sure if it’s a complete dog whistle yet but all I’m saying is if you see someone complain about other people wanting ‘good platonic rep’ than maybe check out their blog real quick and search their tags for things like ace, aro, asexual, aromantic, discourse, etc etc and just make sure that it’s not coming from someone who could very well just be shitting on arospec people and arospec people who want some good rep as well.
