UEFA CL group stages 2022-2023 the day before
Well well well, my prediction of group difficulty was originally:
D, B, E, A, G, F, C, H.
Group H and C turned out as I expected. early quick. F or G a little later but just about.
B shocked me, in BRugge. Brugge just did it defensively. Brugge in many ways did what Atletico Madrid are trying to pull away from. But, taking Brugge out , Leverkusen or Porto or Atletico MAdrid made a great battle in this group.If you look at it, Atletico madrid have the most draws in the group while Porto has the most goals, and neither is first. This barring the missed penalty from the goalless Atletico madrid stopped this group joining D as a last day festival.
E had a consistent chelsea doing enough to top. Salzburg didn’t have the best form and AC Milan had issues defending so not as tough a group but going down to the last day.
D has proven to be correct as on the last day, all four teams are still in it. I said this was the best group to watch in the beginning and I was proven right. No team can say they haven’t tried, all four need to win in the last day to make it happen for sure. lot of drama in group D.
A was my worst group and the only group where I got it wrong in terms of group results. Napoli... are for me the best team in the group stage in terms of dominanating their group. I thought ajax or rangers would fight for second more but they didn’t. Oddly enough for mere test time, it will be interesting to see if Napoli defeat Liverpool and go perfect in the group with six wins.

UEFA CL group stages 2022-2023 halfway
At the halfway point in the group stages of the #UEFACL I predicted the following Groups ranked on when decided, first is latest, last is earliest: D, B, E, A, G, F, C, H At the moment Group H or C or F or G is coming through early as I predicted. and a few subtleties as well. A I was wrong. In terms of the UEFA champions league, Napoli has proven to be better to be blunt than the other three. I thought liverpool or ajax would perform better but no. I was right with E being slow to end. I got B wrong. I thought Atleti/Porto/Leverkusen would fight but like group A Brugge like Napoli has simply wiped the floor with the others. And in BRugge's case I didn't rate them highly in the group. I was right with D, that is a battle to the last match. Marseille when they beat lisbon opened the floodgate on that group. I was right, Group D is the best to watch, that is going down to the last match.
