Another week in the books. New work creeping in and past work closing up. Think we are getting a nice flow together now. New new business cards didn’t come out the way we thought but that’s ok. Company we used worked with us to get make things right so no complaints there. We also added another member to our team to help out with things. Everything’s looking up!

Three
This part feels weird. We have completed jobs and are in the midst of locking down new work, but I just feels like this limbo effect right now. New equipment arrives everyday allowing us to open up new offerings and fine tune our current ones. Round two of work can’t come soon enough. Hopefully we will have enough to roll right from one to the next without this eerie feeling of the in between.
Two
So far, all of the work we have had has come through my father. He knows a lot of people and his connections has allowed us access to many of them to perform work. So far we have had a grand opening for a marketplace, an exposé on a restaurant, and a residential real estate listing. We have been offered more work such as VLOG and other business shoots for social media. Our equipment has grown right along with the company and we continue to improve our craft. The website isn’t quite finished but close. Just some touch ups and we should be ready for launch. Still waiting on our EIN to actually be able to invoice, make a bank account, and so on. Growing pains hurt. But you get over it. One step at at a time. You’re pretty much caught up now. I know... kind of anticlimactic but I promise to write more as things evolve.
One
We had been talking about creating a business for a long time. One day we decided to stop talking about it and do it. In retrospect, there is much better order to do things than we did but this is the way we did it. We started out by using Legal Zoom to create our LLC. The process was actually super easy and relatively cheap. Once we had that going, we started looking at creating social media with some of the photos and footage we already had in stock. Again, pretty easy. We then made business cards as potential work lined up. This was a big mistake. In a rush to get our business cards, we realized that we barely had any info to put on the damn things. Also, then ended up looking rather cheap. The email on the card was @google.com format and highlighted that we were not established. This actually drove us to look into a website service that encompassed it all. We found Wix. We used it to create our own emails with @raptorvisionpro.com format and began loading our pages. Then work started to come in.
Prologue
I didn’t really know what to use Tumblr for. Hell, I didn’t even know it existed until we decided to start our business. After thinking about it, I decided to use it as kind of a journal to document our experiences with the company as we grow. I’ll do my best to check in and the next couple posts will be more of a catch up to today.
It is flattering that people come to Think Mahogany because of me. I am thankful to God for His favour and making me a likeable person. That is a blessing I am truly thankful for. We are in a world full of hate where people judge you without knowing you, people don’t like you without knowing you, people talk down at your business without even using your services before or even enquiring about its services.
