I can't believe how much I've come in the life of this story. For the longest time, I hated editing. I finished a novel and just let it sit because I didn't want to mess with it. I would reread it, waiting for SOMETHING to stand out to change. And I never could. This is the first novel I've sat down myself and have edited it. My novella was edited based on edits others suggested. I have another novel I have had someone else edit but I haven't yet. It's still waiting for me to look at the edits. I can't bring myself to take the scissors and red pen to my writing. Until now. I've highlighted lines I absolutely love. I've marked out commas and drew arrows to change up the order of sentences.
