      The girl sank further into Abaddon, trying to wrap       her arms around his broad shoulders as best as       she could, as they’d now shortened due to her lack of height. A hidden truth that Ava had been minuscule when younger was  now apparent, but that was the last                                                   thing on her mind as she tried to pull                                                   the man closer to keep herself warm                                                   from the raging cold. She felt wetness                                                  on her lashes, but told herself it was                           due to the rain and condensation. Her head                           pressed into his shoulder, a warbling sound                           echoing from her throat. “I-I don’t know…what  to do, or where I am. I just wanna go home.”

Abaddon's heart felt like it was breaking when Ava spoke up. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly to him as he stood up, kissing the top of her head as Abaddon started walking back, out of the alley and into the street.

Taking his scarf off with one hand, the now significantly taller man wrapped it gently around the small girl in his arms, hoping it would be sufficient in keeping her warm.

her gaze lingered on the shivering child, her top teeth sinking into her lower lip. she felt her own fingers curl closer into her pockets at the bite of the cold weather, and a stab of sympathy shot through her heart. also, she seemed eerily familiar as Ava scuttled down the alley, coming to a stop next to the child. slowly, she dipped a hand into her mess of thick hair to push it from her eyes. "hey, you okay? where are your parents?"

You didn’t know where you were. It was cold, it was so very cold, and you didn’t know where to go. You wandered around shivering and trying not to cry. You were scared, the people around you didn’t look nice. There were too many people and you didn’t know what to do, so you hid in a dark place where they wouldn’t see you. You tried to use your hair to stay warm, but it was a little windy so it didn’t really work. You don’t know how long you were there before the pretty lady came, it felt like forever. She asked you two questions but you only heard one, your lip trembled as you answered it, “I-I don’t know… I can’t remember…”

Her entire body seemed to hit the ground with a scream ripping her throat. Her hands came over her head as she felt the bullets rain down around her. Her heart beat wildly, her breathing quick and uneven. Just as she went to run after the crushing silence of the guns, one more went off, making her turn and scream as the large form of Abaddon rushed before her.

           A strangled yelp could be heard as the bullet penetrated his skin, driving it’s way through him. She swore, she creamed as he hit the ground, the girl following soon after. Her hands shook, she didn’t know where to hold him up, or how to speak.

          She just knew that tears were blinding her. “A-Abaddon?! Wha…oh my god, you’ve b-been shot. You need a doctor, oh my god, you idiot, you need a doctor!”

Abaddon shook his head, sitting back up quickly. Arcane senses prickling, the Dark One sped into action; Snatching up Ava while creating a barrier behind himself, blocking the next volley of bullets sent their way. He did his best to block any stray shots with his body as well, taking the bullets for Ava's sake.

Diving out of the alleyway and into an adjacent one, Abaddon peeked out for a minute while he let Ava get her breath back. A few gunmen on the rooftops. He could hear a helicopter coming.

1. What is your favorite color?

2. If you were a mutant what mutant powers would you have?

Hmmm....maybe lightning speed 'cus I'm always late :P Though then I'd just procrastinate even more and STILL be late :P Flying would be cool or maybe being able to shoot webs like Spiderman ('course, knowning me, I'd miss the buildings :P). Problem is, I'm kinda clumsy and junk, so I'm afraid of having a power where my clumnsiness might ruin it :P I'll go with speed, it'd be fun and basically like flying, so ya :P

3. What is you favorite thing to do besides Tumblr?

Reading. I also like watching cartoons :D

4. What got you into the TMNT fandom?

In college I heard about the show so started watching the 2003 series on Youtube. Don't know if the channel's still around, but I found a Youtube channel that has all the eps. I didn't watch 'em in order, so kinda...was flipping from season to season and never watched all the eps but I still enjoyed it :) I also wrote some fics for them on Stealthy Stories, so..ya :)

5. Favorite fictional character(s)?

I have a lot of fav characters, my fav from TMNT is Mikey :D
