Molasses in Marijuana Molasses can add a lot of beneficial health to your grow. To start, it adds essential nurtients to the plants soil such as; potassium, calcium, iron, and magnesium. It's better to start with small doses such as a teaspoon per gallon of water. Molasses will also help prevent salt build up which stops the roots from taking in nutrients and it acts as a natural instecticide to particular bugs. For example sucking bugs like aphids or lace bugs. Lastly, it improves water retention there are healthy micro-organisms that will increase your soil health, but it is smart to keep an eye on the PH levels when introducing any sort of nutrients. It is important to get organic, unsulphured molasses and to watch for nutrient burn and discontinue or slow down usage if symptons arise. Molasses is more strictly a soil based method as it does not break down the same as it does in water. Molasses has been used by many experienced growers, and our own grow proved its effects with a richer harvest than without it's use. Give it a try. We had a follower reach out to us and ask how long they can store seeds for. Well, there is no guarantee that your seeds will last forever however, there are a few ways to increase their lifespan. The main factors we need to acknowledge are: temperature, humidity, and light. These 3 compontents are crutial for control maintenance. Seeds should be kept around 20% humidity, any more the seeds will germinate, any less they will wither. 40 degrees Fahrenheit is the temperature you want to keep the seeds at, which is about the same as the average fridge, just remember opening the door creates a drastic temperature change. Too hot and the seeds will sweat, too cold and the seeds could split which is a natural process in germination. Lastly, the seeds should be kept in a dark area because sunlight will cause the unwanted germination process as well. People have told stories of storing seeds for many and many years with these tips, however professionals only guarentee 5 years with an air tight sealed jar in the fridge, but stranger things have been known to happen. The longest stored seed we have seen planted successfully was approximately 10 years old. Doesn't mean someone couldn't keep them for longer. Who's to say? Best Practices For Growing Feminized Seeds Successfully
It may seem easy to start a grow until a few mishaps start to add up. The excitement may soon turn to frustration due to poor germination, inconsistent temperatures, intermittent lighting, or an improper setup. Despite feminized genetics making the process easier, successful cultivation still depends on effective environmental management at the very beginning. In addition, most growers pay close attention to harvest expectations but disregard the basics that define plant performance at the initial stages.

So You Wanna Grow Orchids
I thought I'd make a little thing about the orchid type I feel is the most forgiving for beginners. You'll see and hear a lot about them, but the one I feel is the best starter, with the quickest means to propagate more is the Oncidium type.
This type frequently has scented flowers, blooms more frequently than the most sold Phalenopsis and is more forgiving to unintentional neglect as well.
The above image is a Phalaenopsis I got from a Home Depot. This orchid, though not necessarily this pattern/color type, is the most common orchid you will find sold in stores and florists. Thing is, its also not quite so forgiving either. Water too much, the roots drown and rot, water too little and it dehydrates and dies. The best way to tell a Phal is perfectly hydrated is if the roots don't look silvery.
Most of the time when you buy one of these the roots when watered look green and plump, because they were exposed to light. See, their roots photosynthesize. However don't rely on that because the leaves do a much much better job at that. You have to have a good mix of sphagnum moss and chunky orchid bark and I have just found compared to my Oncidium, Phal are just more picky.
With oncidium types, if they lose their roots that first repotting, it is okay. See, Oncidium have like, a million roots. And they grow a new set of roots with every new psudobulb that grows, so if you don't want to deal with the roots, hack them off and just make sure that the layer of media you set them on top of in their new home is the moss layer. Once the new growth happs, it doesn't have to go very far and it will be just fine.
The images here, are one of my oncidium. This one too has no name, but as you can see the fat growths are its psudobulbs. Now, they are a bit raisony because this one was divided into three plants and it hasn't started a new growth yet to make up for the damage that its root system was in when I got it. As long as each division has three growths, its perfectly fine to separate and repot, then either sell or give away.
They don't mind a little extra water or even periods of drought, that is what those psudobulbs are for. They are like camels. They can also handle a fair amount of sun, but are happy under a couple cheap shop lights too. This orchid type can be incredibly showy and smell absolutely mouth watering, though the one I gave pictures of doesn't have a smell.
Look up pictures, they can be quite stunning. And, if you wish, check out this video by my favorite orchid grower who lives in Cypress. She did a fantastic video on this orchid type and she has several more for Phalaenopsis and all the rest in her collection.

Banana Kush is coming along! Light is tilted because of the sticks not the plant. It should outgrow the need to tilt in another day or so. I didn’t want to use shorter sticks. This is a benefit of our 4-winch system. 😎 #growertips #growtips #growcast #growers #autoflowergrowers #autoflowercommunity #autoflowerpower #autofloweringseed #bananakush #indica #growinginthearmoire #growninthearmoire (at Hopedale, Massachusetts) https://www.instagram.com/p/CGc-R_DhXWt/?igshid=1fmh8apgw4goa
