Riot Grrrl

For those of you who have been following us for a while have most likely seen our Grrrls To The Front t-shirt, and we realize that we never got around to giving it the explanation it deserves. Riot Grrrl is important to all of us here and we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to expose it to another community that is extremely important to us, the skateboarding community. Now I bet you're wondering hell the how can you find correlations between third-wave feminism and the individuals that have found their life's purpose on a piece of wood? Well... There's a strong binding factor that fuels our desire to shake hands and march/thrash down the same path; and it's in acceptance. Movements and sub-cultures like these two here are birthed from the jagged ends of a misguided society. So with that understanding, we thought “why the fuck not”!? Why not root for the women that are now carving their place in skateboarding, why not give that silent nod to welcome a few new friends. We made a shirt influenced by a human rights movement in the early 90's, but all of you have what it takes to make a revolution.
