Bother

I have a desert tortoise who doesn’t like me. His name is Bother, and I now know it’s not because he’s a bother, but because he’s bothered by just about everything. I got him from his previous owners when they were hospitalized and could no longer care for him. I had to quickly learn a lot about desert tortoises and how to keep myself from killing this one. I still don’t know what I’m doing, and I’m afraid for him all the time. I wish he’d just talk to me and tell me what I’m doing wrong, but he’s too busy not talking to me because he’s a desert tortoise and they don’t talk.
