Now I don't know about y'all. But I was raised to be polite, to be respectful, to have manners, to see people as human beings, and to treat others how I want to be treated.

Some of these people out there, I can't help but wonder who the fuck raised them.

First ballet class in 12 years:

I'm not too old and it's not too late.

Everywhere hurts.

I don't know which parent needs to hear this, but I ain't sharing my weed with no one, least of all, random kids from my neighborhood, and I'm already going to be nice to them enough by sharing my Halloween candy stash, in this economy.

Not going to lie though, most if not all of the posts that are complaining about the advanced practitioners not being readily willing to help out the beginner practitioners seem to me to fall into one or both of these categories:

It's our personal responsibilities to mentor and educate whomever should come our ways.

We ought to be required to answer every single question asked of us.

Both, if you were to think about it for just a moment, are some serious entitlement, and neither is a realistic or practical or fair expectation of anybody, least of all, complete strangers on the internet who don't even know you, who don't owe you their time, and why should they be tasked with doing all of your work for you.

This is not even mentioning the numerous times when many of us have responded to people asking for our help, only to end up bombarded with hate responses and messages because they weren't what people wanted to hear. And that's why, so many of us stopped bothering all together and just keep to ourselves with our mutuals, because we actually want to have a pleasant time on social media and we really don't need unnecessary crap in our lives because too often y'all forget we're real humans behind the screens and the usernames.

Do kids these days know that activism existed long before we had social media and smartphones in our lives.

Because if you're actually naive enough to be judging whether people are "doing anything" by what they do or don't post on the internet, I got some news for you.

Y'all can have your rapture thing or whatever. I still got a mortgage and car payment, and I need to go to the store.

I spent my youth wearing a ballet skirt every time I was in a dance studio for modesty's sakes. Now as an adult I no longer bother: just leotard and tights while the world can look at my butt. 🍑

I'm watching Gossip Girl and I ordered a copy of Stephenie Meyer's Midnight Sun, because times is hard therefore I'm doing inner silly adolescent healing.
