Well. This is... Awkward. But the two of them can’t avoid one another forever, in spite of whatever uncomfortable thing their once-budding friendship might have crumbled into -- and Wilfred just so happens to be the only one right now who seems to have nothing much to do.

And probably the only sorry sap in this godforsaken place that he’d trust with a task like this.

Leather leash in hand, a gloved hand outstretches to offer it up to the grunt. On the other end of that leash sits Baby, his much-loved pooch, tongue rolling out of the side of her mouth as big, brown eyes observe the handover with curiosity.

“I’ve still got a lot of stuff to take care of, but she needs to stretch her legs n’ get out for a bit.”

As much of an annoying, nosy, crybaby he may be... Wilfred is still a good kid, at his core, and Proton glances up at him for but a second before his gaze drops guiltily, staring at a certain spot on the wall as if it had done him some great injustice.

As much as it might bruise his ego... Perhaps it’s time to put a stop to the petty hostility.

“Could you take Baby for a while and... Just get some of her zoomies out or whatever?”

WELL THIS ONE IS A NO DUH LOL. but i’d still say somewhat one-sided?? atticus is a petty bitch in general, he is Not above that, but it does definitely feel like wilfred holds more animosity towards him than vice versa. maybe with atticus now dating proton, there’s opportunity for them to get past these differences, if only for the sake of wilfred’s insanity because he’s going to be seeing WAY more of atticus than before. uwu

oh, atticus fondly could recall the brief time in which wilfred hadn’t looked at him with such ill-hidden loathing. after all, even in kanto, he was a celebrity. wouldn’t even the lowliest of peons be thrilled to be within such close proximity of a man with more fame and fortune they could ever dream of having in these filthy gutters?

now, of course, all of that had been washed away with the tides of time. for the polished exterior seen on his social medias and at his public events was nothing more than a falsehood, fake kindness not something willingly extended to a grunt who felt far too inclined to open his mouth and speak his unwelcome mind.

at least now, quietly surveying him with rightful caution, wilfred seemed to be far more careful in measuring his thoughts before announcing them to the world.
