alright but why gs! abi when we can have trans girl abi
I really wanted to explore what the experience of a noblewoman becoming a warrior and leader. In a way, a parallel and foil to Yona.
Trans girl Abi would have a different experience by nature of being trans instead of nominally cis*. EoaD is all about being in Abi’s head and seeing the story through her eyes. And honestly, I do not know or understand the trans experience enough to write a long, in depth story from a trans character’s prospective and properly handle the issues.
However, I would be very interested in reading about any of the dragon warriors being trans. I also know that @mcgrillzdumpinc has done a few headcanons and short drabbles with Abi as a trans man.
*I say nominally because in my mind gs!Abi leans toward being demigirl.
