It wasn't all flowers and sunshine, but after a grueling 24 hours of racing at the 2025 Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway, two Forgeline-equipped Chevrolet Corvette GT3.Rs landed on the podium, with the No.13 entry from AWA Racing taking home the win in the GTD class and the No.3 entry from Pratt Miller Motorsports taking the runner up spot in the GTD Pro class.
Four different teams had entered a total of five Corvette GT3.Rs at Daytona, including entries from Pratt Miller Motorsports, Trackhouse by TF Sport, AWA Racing, and DXDT Racing, making 2025 the largest field of Corvettes since 2007. Not surprisingly, 24 hours of intense racing took its toll on several of the entries, with the winning AWA Racing car losing both of its rear view mirrors, the DXDT car suffering an engine fire, and a now-infamous altercation between the No.4 Pratt Miller Motorsports Corvette and the No.48 BMW.
In addition to the five Corvettes in the Weathertech field, the Daytona weekend also saw five Ford Mustang GT4s compete on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels in Friday's Michelin Pilot Challenge BMW Endurance Challenge race, where the No.59 entry from KohR Motorsports, driven by Billy Johnson and Bob Michaelian, earned a third place podium finish to kick off the 2025 season.
Congrats to the teams at AWA Racing, Pratt Miller Motorsports, KohR Motorsports, and everyone at Chevrolet and Ford, and thank you for the trust that you’ve placed in Forgeline! Learn more at: https://www.forgeline.com/blog/corvette-gt3rs-endure-rolex-24-at-daytona/31706
