I have no idea where my original recruitment post went, but all y'all Guardians of Tumblr should join my clan. Just pretend the call to hang out didn't come from my crazy COD thirst blog. 👀🥲
Someone actually joined from the first time I posted and it's been quite honestly the best online experience of my life. We've got a lot of great people. ❤️
hunters, tear your capes and wrap a hatchling today
Short Story: Giving
I was doing strikes to complete the 2 vanguard memory fragment quests, and got a popup that I completed something, to return to the exo stranger for the reward. I was confused, what did I do??? I still have my quests to complete lol. And I forgot the anniveristy launched, and got tossed into that. I'm way behind... ;-; Anyways, enjoy!

Transmitting to the Beyond, Alex landed in the snow and shivered. It was absolutely freezing, more so when winter came by. She didn’t know why or how, it felt colder than before. This isn’t why she was here, Alex walked through the snow. It rose up on her boots, seeping into it. The exo ahead didn’t move from her spot, though Alex knew the Exo Stranger noticed her presence, and kept her watch on the Pyramid.
“Care for a break?”
“There isn’t time for one, not until the threat of Darkness is gone.” The Exo Stranger turned to her. “Alex, what can I do for you?”
“A moment of your time, and also I completed something?”
The Exo Stranger let out a huff, shaking her head though her white optics glowed with amusement. “It’s defeating enemies with Stasis.”
“Ah, I was doing Strikes- easy enough.” Alex held out her hand and PBJ flashed onto the palm, shell rotating. He let out a puff when the cold wind hit him. “I got something for you, I know it’s December and with more problems arising… I thought I might as well celebrate the holiday early.”
PBJ transmitted the small box into Alex’s hand, disappearing soon after when the wind picked up again and blew snow at them. Alex was glad for her helmet, or the cold, whatever would cover up her blushing face. “Here… it’s small, but I thought you might like it.”
The Exo Stranger took the small box. She pulled at the blue ribbon, taking the lid off, and there laid a keychain; it was small, with black and purple beads going to a charm. The charm was wolf howling, and on the back said: courage. It reminded her of Alex. She looked up, gazing at the hunter warmly. “It’s lovely, thank you.”
“I’m glad you like it… uh, the shopkeeper said it would be good to give- you know as a good luck charm and um, uh…” Alex trailed off, opting to stare at the snowy ground than her. “I- the shopkeeper also said the wolf means family. So, now the bad ending can’t happen. You got a good luck charm.”
“It… it doesn’t work like that.” The Exo Stranger smiled, “but I appreciate the gesture.”
“Yeah-yeah.” Alex scolded herself, she was acting like she was a kid with a crush, this wasn’t how she had planned it. She couldn’t help it, she wanted this to be perfect. The Exo Stranger had enough stress in her life. “I just wanted to make things easier, you know, not as stressful.”
“Alex,” the Exo Stranger came closer and leaned her forehead against Alex’s, “I don’t think I’ve seen you this flustered before. And I’ve seen you do very embarrassing things.”
“I can’t help it, you… you make it feel like it’s going to be okay.” Alex mumbled, taking this moment in. Duty came first in their life, the Darkness and the threat of Savathun getting closer and closer everyday. “I’m sorry I haven’t come to see you.”
The Exo Stranger sighed. “Then I’m sorry too. I have been busy gathering the latest of Clovis’ Stasis data, trying to unlock its secrets. The other guardians have helped a lot.”
“I’m glad… there’s been a lot going on. I got stuck in the Eternity with Xur, somehow I impressed a horse.”
“...a horse?”
“A space horse.”

Memories
This features @shaken-veil‘s Hunter Nevia. I wanted to dip into Siobhan’s backstory a bit here and why she’s so determined to take on the Tower’s enemies.
The Infinite Forest was beautiful and haunting as always. The simulated breeze fluttered the fabric of her hood around her helmet. Siobhan glanced to the side as she saw the subtly shifting shapes in her peripheral. The other Hunter stepped up to her side as Nevia studied the surroundings. This was her first time in the Forest, and Siobhan knew how confusing it could be the first time. “This is so strange.” Nevia murmured as she reached up to touch a floating light spec. It disintegrated into a shower of sparks when her finger touched it. The two Guardians stood watching the shifting scenery as their Ghosts scanned a strange Vex artifact for Osiris. Siobhan didn’t trust the man, but she did her best to keep her feelings from interfering with the mission. The man knew the Vex better than others, so he had valuable knowledge. Siobhan could appreciate his enthusiasm for wanting to figure out the Vex, but she did argue his methods for it.
“Yeah. It’s beautiful though, in its own way.” Nevia nodded as she glanced around.
Short Story: Severe
Before Pluto broke away, Eclipse told them he was never going back to the Tangled Shore. Then Alex disappeared and he came back. And though Pluto is back together, Eclipse and Plasma never told Alex they came back to find her when she went missing. Alex assumed they kept to their promises.
Alex a bit reckless, heading right into danger. Which is kinda based on how I accidentally made my 3 characters in game to be. My titan actually does better in long range while my hunter can head straight in lol.
So in Pluto; Plasma is trying to make sure Alex doesn't get herself deep into trouble while making sure Eclipse doesn't freak out.

The hunter stumbled through the tunnel, her boots splashing in the small stream. Blood continued to drip down and taint the water. She felt her knees shake; the bounty had gotten a good hit on her, slicing through her left side before she could finish the battle. It didn’t hurt at first, she was able to make it to the tunnel that led to the entrance/exit, then her vision blurred. Alex regretted her decision to have PBJ stay behind at the Hideout.
It was supposed to be simple in and out, she should’ve known better. A reckless move to leave her ghost behind. She took a shaky breath, all she had to do was wait- or manage to drive her sparrow back to base. PBJ probably had already left. Alex landed hard on her knees, the water soaking in her pants. If she wasn’t light-headed, she would’ve shivered in disgust, and soaked clothes weren’t comfortable.
She was either losing it or she heard a hum of a sparrow, coming right towards the cave. Alex looked up- she rolled to the side just as the sparrow came crashing down, narrowly missing her spot. She winced as the movement stretched her wound. Alex tilted her head back, trying to see the guardian who did that.
“Eclipse…!” There stood the exo warlock, Alex frowned. “What in the world are you doing?”
Eclipse-15 stood there. “...Alex?” His voice sounded strained, like he had been crying or stressed with his emotions. He jumped down, knees landing in the water. “Oh god, what happened?” Alex stayed silent, staring at him; Eclipse never stepped foot in the Tangled Shore, never again. He vowed to. Yet here he was, already examining the wound. “It’s bad- real bad, where’s PBJ?”
“...in the Hideout,” Alex found her voice, “it was supposed to be a simple in and out. The bounty was lower class.”
“It doesn’t look like it.” He let out a grunt, fingers prodding at her side. “Traveler, it’s almost… shit.” Did he just swear? Eclipse-15 opened a healing rift and focused the energy on her left side.
“How could you be this stupid?!” His voice rose in level. “Leaving behind your ghost, going into a lost sector by yourself… did you not think how it could go wrong? Or did you think it was just fine cause you’re a hunter and the loot (he spat out the word- Alex shrank back) was too good despite the risk!”
Alex gnawed on her cheek. Though they had their arguments, Eclipse was never this angry- especially when Pluto came back together- he never radiated in so much Arc energy. The air was becoming static. His hands trembled.
“ALEX.”
She jumped, heart almost jumping out of her chest. “Wha- uh, here, what.” Taking deep breaths, she turned her head back to him; his helmet concealed whatever expression he had, she had no idea what was going through his head.
“You stay awake, got it?” His head snapped to her. “This wound is bad, do you understand? Bad. You need to stay awake until I heal it-” he cursed, “-then PBJ is going to have to finish it.” He flicked her forehead, and though she also had her helmet, it echoed through it. “You are going to head straight back to the Hideout, like or not, or I’m going to drag you there myself.”
“I mean, I kinda have to-”
“To heal. I don’t care if you have to return it back to the Spider, you are to head right to PBJ and heal. Do you understand?”
Alex nodded. She wanted to throw in a joke to lighten the tension, but she felt like Eclipse was going to lose it if she did. “Got it, PBJ is probably on his way here too.”
“...come again?”
“Uh…” she didn’t like his tone, feeling another scolding coming on, “PBJ is probably on his way here to heal me? It’s our plan if we get separated or he stays behind. I find a spot to hide in and he finds me-”
“Are you STUPID?” An Arc pulse traveled on his shoulder. “Having your ghost travel in enemy filled land?! What if they find him- what if they destroy him! Alex, you would die and if you didn’t, you would be ghostless. Injured.” Eclipse-15 grabbed her shoulders, hauling her up. “Do you want to die? You want to be reckless and stupid- getting you and PBJ killed?!”
“We’ve done it before. Eclipse, I-”
Eclipse-15 shook his head, letting it drop. “...I can’t lose you, Alex. You’re my sister, a member of Pluto. How do you think Plasma’s going to feel if you die- me?” He tugged her into a hug; his arms squeezed around her and shook. “He told me the same thing, you know. He went straight into danger, not thinking what’s going to happen if he dies.”
Alex wrapped her arms around him. “I’m okay, Eclipse. It’s going to take a lot more to kill me. Remember? I’m too stubborn to die.”
“Stop joking!” Eclipse-15 wanted to scream, his mind wouldn’t shut up with the ways that could’ve happened if he wasn’t here. “What happens when I’m not around…?” He held onto her tighter, squeezing his optics shut. Alex was okay. Her Light was still here, she was breathing- she was okay.
“But you did get here. I’m here.”
