I was rummaging around the Social Webs, and found out that there’s gonna be a Destiny convention! Oh man!!… too bad I can’t go, cuz I’m gonna be somewhere else… somewhere far away from Florida… and even if I wasn’t going anywhere, I still live way too far away…
Other than that, for those of you following my Guardian’s lore, should I post the written chapters on here, or should I post it on a writing website? If you know of a good website to post Mag’s story, please let me know, cuz I’m pretty sure all this waiting for the next lore picture is a long time coming!
Also, I’m still kinda dry on ideas, my art stump is really eating at me, and I kinda need some inspiration, to make y’all some amazing art! (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)
I’ll be seeing you Star Side Guardians!
Guardian Lore - Blessings/Speakers
During the Age of Destruction, with fighting between all the different families, Hope descended. She instructed the families to send their children all off to a singular place, where they will receive Blessings from the Guardians. The Averes and Drac were sceptical of this and refused to give their chicks/younglings up for anything. The Araynians, however were all for this and gladly gave their children up. Two colonies of the kids emerged from the two sides of The Great River - Aelu and Ragaast. Ragaast was in the South - near Dracian Hollows - and Aelu was in the North (which was almost purely populated with Araynians). The children weren’t completely unmonitored of course, with each family being assigned a Protector (well for those who could afford it). Those who couldn’t afford a Protector just had to hope that the Eldest could look after any others in their family.
Every year, the children were sent to the Blessing River (or Blessing Mountains for Ragaast Colony) where the Guardians of Strength judged whether they were worthy to receive a Blessing from either Body, Mind or Heart. Those given Blessings were known as Speakers, and their gifts were passed down to their children (either physical anomalies - such as having white hair and red eyes without being albino - or having some form of power).
Speakers eventually just became the term for all those with powers - even those who weren’t given any Blessing and just gained it through nefarious means (such as Kai - who became a Bloodshifter - or Ira - who became a Shadowspeaker due to Rai trying to test how to become a Dark Guardian on them

The World of Alton Adventures: Guardians and the Guardian Program
Figured the best way to start this blog off was with a overall summary of the universe my characters are set in! For new comers and old fans of my work I hope this is a good summary of things and answers some questions!
What is Alton Adventures?
Alton Adventures about a group of heroes called guardians who fight and defend the earth from threats to humanity. Through this they learn more about the mystery behind all the strange occurrences that happen, and the truth about the world. They also grow as people and overcome their own hardships and struggles. It is a story about loss, mental health, loneliness, and finding a family who supports you through thick and thing, and learning to love yourself and all your flaws that make you, you.
What is a Guardian?
A guardian is an individual chosen to become a protector of humanity. The qualities of a guardian range from psychical strength, super smarts, innate power and abilities, and so on. While strength and skill is a huge deciding factor of a Guardian, Guardians must also prove their worth as a hero who is willing to sacrifice and protect those who cannot protect themselves. Before officially becoming a Guardian, Guardians must take an oath before they are granted the title. This is known as “The Duties of a Guardian.” Duties of A Guardian Are-
To protect those who cannot protect themselves
Rescue those in peril
Do what they believe is right in their heart
Rise up to the occasion when no one else will
Protect their fellow Guardians
Before one can become a guardian they must pass a test. The test is administered by the Gatekeeper, and can be taken as many times. A true guardian will remain determined in the face of failure.
Who was the original Mr. Alton and who is the Gatekeeper?
Mr. Alton and the Gatekeeper are the two founders of the Guardian Program. Mr. Alton was a human wizard with great power and a fantastical view of the world. He had hopes for humanity and saw beauty in all walks of life. When anomalies began to occur that put the lives of everyday people and the world in danger, he devoted his life to protecting his world, especially when his wife was taken from him because of these strange occurances. He needed to be strong to protect his only son but couldn’t on his own. He met and befriended the Gatekeeper. The Gatekeeper was in fact actually an alien from a race heavily responsible for the incidents occurring on earth. Remorseful for what he caused, he became persistent in the goal of reversing the damage. Befriending Mr. Alton only furthered his desire to right is wrongs. Once led to believe his race was superior because of his tyrannical brother, the Gatekeeper now saw beauty and value in all species of aliens across the galaxy, and began to dedicate his life to protect that, starting with earth and its Guardian program.
How does a Guardian become a Guardian?
Guardians are sought out by the Gatekeeper. He looks for the quality of guardians in his candidates, strength, smarts, skills, but as mentioned he does also seek out those who he knows have good hearts. Those who are dedicated to making the world a better place, and helping other people. Let’s use Eve for an example. She was top of the grade in her studies, a scientist with many rewards and qualifications. She was dedicated to her study and proving herself as a strong woman with smarts and know how. While seemingly serious and stone cold, Gatekeeper found in her interview that Eve is actually a caring individual who went in the area of study she did to encourage young little girls that they can do science too! That she wanted to be a beacon of inspiration that she didn’t get as a child. Her hard working ethic and scientific knowledge was definitely part of the choice, but her compassion and hope for the future of humanity was what pushed for her to be the Guardian and head of the Enterprise Project. In the case of Secret Weapon wielding Guardians , things are a bit different. They are chosen ones in a sense, destined to be guardians and destined to wield the the Secret Weapons, which you will read more about later! Those who were chosen to be SW users were all visited by the Gatekeeper at some point in their lives asking them to become Guardians. Many were unsure and apprehensive at first, but all fell a calling to take on the responsibility. After taking a test and proving their worth, all the chosen secret weapon users were asked again if they wanted to take on the role. All would eventually take on the responsibility of the role, even if some where a bit more stubborn than others….
What do Guardians do?
Guardians have many duties. They fight off threats, defend those in danger, rescue those in peril, research the anomalies occurring on earth, developing tech and machines to help in the efforts. Most of all they try to bring comfort to those in distress, giving them a beacon of hope and dark and dismal times.
What kind of skills do Guardians have?
Many guardians have certain abilities and skills not many other humans have. Some have super strength, others were born with the ability to use magic. Powers are not a stranger to the Universe of Alton Adventures, but they also aren’t exactly well known within the general public. Those with powers tend to hide them for the most part, over fear of judgment or disdain for their super human abilities. Due to this, a lot of humanity is naive to the supernatural, and the efforts Guardians go through to protect them.
Who are the Guardians?
This section will contain a list of all the Guardians once I have made profiles for them! Currently a WiP check this spot later!
Thank you for taking time to read! This will likely be updated in the future when there is more information, and I will also be making more lore posts. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions, I do plan on doing a FAQ post soon as well and need some questions that you guys have been dying to hear the answers for!
