Guarding Grace pt 6
A/N: I apologize for not updating this in so long. As I've said, I've been dealing with emotional issues and haven't been able to get myself to write. Hopefully I can start back up again after this part. I'm also sorry that nothing really happened in the part. I'm kinda disappointed with it.
Pairings: Roman Reigns x OC (original character)
Warnings: none
Summary: Roman takes Grace to Chrome, the hub for all guardians. He's worried for her safety. When they arrive, they're greeted by Renee. He gave her the lowdown on the way there, and hopes she'll be able to help.
It all happened so fast. Roman was worried. Having Ashen and Storm in Grace's possession scared him. He has no clue what the relics can do or what they're for. He forced Grace to pack a couple bags and leave. He wasted no time shoving her and her dogs in his car. There was no way in Hell Roman would let her stay at her place. He knows Seth is capable of sinister things. Grace being a woman wouldn't stop him in the slightest.
"Are you sure this is a good idea Ro? I don't feel like this is the way to go about it." Grace argues. Roman dismisses her. "Look, staying at your house isn't a good idea. Seth knows where you are and he'd have no problem finding my place. The best option is Chrome." He looks over to her. She sighs and rubs her face, clearly annoyed. "Okay, but I highly doubt bringing me there will go over well. I mean, as far as they know I could be working for Seth, or that I'm just weak little girl that needs protection, which by the way, I don't need. I'm perfectly capable of defending myself." Roman slams on the breaks and glares at her. Grace lunges forward from the sudden stop. "Jesus Roam! What th-", "Listen to me right now Grace. I know you think you're a tough girl, and you are, but trust me when I say this. You are no match for Seth. You don't know what he can do." Grace gives him a look and points to her neck. "My point exactly. He's dangerous. What happens if he breaks into your house at night, huh? I'm not going to know. By the time I figure it out, it may be to late. You're the safest at Chrome, I promise you. As for the other Guardians and higher ups, well.. I guess they'll just have to deal with it."
A few hours later, they reach the edge of Chrome. Grace and the animals are sound asleep. Roman called Renee to give her a heads up about his arrival. He knew she would back him up. He sneaks a look at Grace. She looks so peaceful. Her arms are underneath her head propped against the window, Poindexter occupying the stop in her lap. Roman smiles at the picture and pats the corgi's head. Matilda must have woken up a little while ago because Roman feels her licking his shoulder. Roman tries to reach back and give the husky a quick pet, but can't. He chuckles and gives the dog some acknowledgement. As he nears the gate to the sanctuary, he gently shake Grace awake.
"Grace. Grace wake up. We're here." Grace grumbles but reluctantly complies. She lets out a big yawns and stretches out her arms. Poindexter wakes and does the same. "How long were we asleep?" Grace asks. Roman turns the car off. "About four hours." He unbuckles his seatbelt and gets out. Grace yawns again and rubs her eyes. She unbuckles her seatbelt as Roman comes and opens her door and the back. The dogs jump out and Grace follows suit. "Thank you. You're such a gentleman." Grace smiles and pokes his bicep. Roman laughs. He steps behind her and places a hand on her lower back. "C'mon, we're meeting someone."
Roman guides her through the gates and Renee soon greets them. "Long time no see Ro!" Renee pulls him in for big hug. "Hey Renee." He says. "And you must be Grace. I'm Renee!" She extends her hand to Grace. She shakes the woman's hand cautiously. "Roman called me while you guys were headed here. He gave me a little bit of the lowdown. He also raved about how beautiful you are, and I have to agree." Renee beams. Grace quirks a brow at Roman who's looking away. She can see a faint blush on his face. "I did not." He grumbles. Grace smirks. "Yeah, he's not so bad looking either. So, uh.. How much did he tell you?" Renee smiles. "Just that you need to be protected. I tried to get more information, but he refused to tell me." Grace nodded. Roman interjects. "So do you think you can help us? I know Steph doesn't like newcomers, but this is an exception, right?" Renee takes a moment before responding. "I'll help the best I can. If you can convince Stephanie that she's in danger, she may agree to keep Grace." "She is in danger! Seth isn't to be taken lightly Renee!" Roman states, anger apparent in his tone. Renee puts her hands on her hips. "I know she is Roman. You don't need to tell me that. I'm on your side. I'll do my best, but I'm not promising anything here." Roman sighs and nods his head. "Uhm, who's Stephanie?" Grace speaks. Renee looks to her and smiles yet again.
"She's the head of the Guardians. She can also be your worst nightmare."
Guarding Grace pt 5
A/N: Part 5 of Guarding Grace. I honestly didn't expect my story to get any notes, so thank you so much. It makes me very happy and even more motivated to write it!
Parings: Roman Reigns x OC (original character)
Warnings: Swears, mention of abuse
Summary: While Seth visits Grace, Roman gets a phone call about an important person that's been discovered. He's shocked by the news and quickly puts two and two together, causing him to grow nervous and anxious.
Roman was bummed Grace couldn't stay, but he knew they would see each other again. After she left, he made his way to the bathroom to take a long shower. He did more thinking than bathing, but he welcomed the hot water against his skin. He tried to shake thought of her away, but failed. Grace was burned into his brain. Her flawless skin, her smile, the tats, the ocean coloured locks, and those eyes. Dear lord those eyes. Roman never saw anything quite as breathtaking as her iris's. They were the colour of the sun, the colour of a field of bright daffodils. They're such an unearthly hue. He couldn't help but get lost in them. To Roman, Grace was heavenly. He wondered how such an almost goddess like creature became involved with slime like Seth.
Spending much longer than needed in the shower, Roman finally leaves the bathroom. He walks to the closet and picks out his outfit for the day, black cargo pants and a simple black shirt. He ties his wet hair in to a bun and plops on the bed with a heavy sigh. As he shuts his eyes, he hears this phone buzz. Roman groans and does his best to ignore it, but the person on the other end is persistent. He crawls off the bed and picks his cell up off the dresser. "Shit." He curses himself as he quickly dials the number back.
"It's about time! I've been trying to reach you for thirty minutes!"
"Sorry. I was in the shower. What's up?"
"Yeah okay, whatever. I don't care. I have some news you need to hear."
"Okay. What's the news?"
"Try to be a little more excited Roman! Anyway, We have information on what the Jilts are up to. Apparently, Seth's been given Ashen and Storm. With Sheamus' last mission, we were able to find out that Hunter was the one to bestow Seth with the jewelry. That can only mean he plans to make a big move soon. Things that important don't get handed down freely. What's even more scary is that he chose Seth."
Roman stood there in shock. He knew the Jilts wanted to have mass chaos. They would stop at nothing to have it. They're the reason the Guardians formed. A world that lives in constant anarchy would crumble quick. The previous generations of Guardians managed to keep the sinister group somewhat controlled. Over the centuries however, the Jilts have become increasingly more difficult to keep in line. If Hunter trusted Seth with those relics, there's no doubt he's planning his next move.
"Roman? Earth to Roman. ROMAN!"
"Huh? Oh, sorry. Are you positive Seth has them? What does Stephanie want to do?"
"We're positive he does. She's not sure yet. She says she wants to let play out a bit before making any descions. Stephanie hasn't said anything, but I know she's worried. We all are."
"Yeah, no doubt about that. Any other information I need to know?"
"Just one more piece: With Seth having Ashen and Storm, he's extremely dangerous and valuable. I know you haven't spoken to him since.. since Dean's disappearance, but if you happen to see him now, be careful. Also, if he has someone in his life, whether friend or girlfriend, there's a highly possibility he'll get them involved too."
"Fuck! Renee, I have to go, I'm sorry!"
Roman hung up on the woman, ignoring her protests. He had to go check on Grace. She could be in serious danger.
"Please, please be home!" Roman steps out of his vehicle. He called Grace prior and asked if Seth had shown up. When she confirmed his suspicion, he asked to come over. It took him no time at all to show up. He cursed under his breath as he walked up to her door. A few seconds passed as he anxious waited. Roman let out a sigh of relief when he was greeted with a smile and sunny eyes.
"Usually, you're supposed to wait three days before contacting a girl, but I'll make an exception for you." Grace winked and gestured for him to come in. Roman laughed, running a hand along his jaw. "Yeah, sorry. I had to make sure you were-" His voice trailed off as he saw Grace's neck. There were red marks lining it and a few bruises. Grace sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "I know. It look terrible. Hurts a lil' bit too. I promise I'm okay though. I've suffered much worse than this, believe me." Roman shot her a look, but Grace waved her hand, dismissing the issue. "I'll tell you all about my life another time. Make yourself comfortable. You thirsty?" She walks towards the kitchen. "I got water, soda, some booze, and some herbal tea."
Roman tried to follow, but is met with two dogs. "Uh, just some water I guess." He tries to step around the animals, but they stay in their place. Looking up at Roman, their tails wag. Roman smiles down and pats their head.Grace reappears with a beer and water. She laughs at the sight before her. "I see you've met Matilda and Poindexter." She hands him his glass and pulls him to the living room. "I guess so."
Roman takes a seat next to Grace. Poindexter then jumps in Roman's lap, causing him to chuckle. "You best feel special. That little turd doesn't usually like men all that much. Hell, he don't even sit in my lap." Grace pats the corgi's head. Roman smiles. "So, now that you know I'm alright, what's the other reason you're here?" Grace sips from her drink. She looks over to him and waits for an answer. He sucks in air then speaks. "Right. Well, you know that I'm a Guardian and Seth's a Jilt." She nods. "I got a call from Chrome, which is sort of the hub for all Guardians, about new information on Seth, and it wasn't good. Turns out, Hunter, the head Jilt, gave him two very important items. They more or less represent a major trust in someone. Very few people have ever had the chance to own them, let alone see them." Roman pauses, not wanting to finish. Grace places a hand on his thigh to try and coax him to continue. He closes his eyes and speaks again. "The items also represent chaos and destruction, and with Seth having them in his possession is scary. It brings the question up of whether or not Hunter wants to take action. He's always had this master plan to create a world of disorder, and if he's trusted Seth enough with that, then we're all in trouble."
Grace takes in what Roman is saying. She still has question about all of this, but now is not the time to ask. "Do you know what the things are?" Grace asks. She briefly remembers the necklace and ring that Seth gave her just over an hour ago. Roman nods. "Yeah. It's a pendant and ring. Ashen is the pendant and Storm is the ring." Grace froze. She set her beer on the coffee table and rushed to her bedroom. "Grace?" Roman yelled. She returned with a box and handed it to Roman. He gave her look. Grace's expression was grim as she nodded for him to open the box. The look on her face was all the confirmation Roman needed.
"He.. He gave them to you didn't he?"
Guarding Grace pt 4
A/N: Part 4 of Guarding Grace. Things will start to speed up in this chapter and later ones. I actually had to pretty much rewrite this completely. I wasn’t happy with the first product, and I thought of so new ideas, so here’s the improved chapter. I'm also sorry this is such a long part. I kinda got carried away.
Parings: Roman Reigns x OC (original character)
Warnings: Maybe a few swears, suggestive tones, violence
Summary: Grace stayed with Roman last night. Roman insists that Grace stay a little longer, but she politely declines and goes back home. When she arrives, there’s an unexpected visitor waiting for her.
At some point, the two had fallen asleep. Grace found herself wrapped in Roman’s arms. He was bare chested. She lazily traced his chest, his skin cool. She snuggled up closer to him and laid her head to his chest. She listened to the lull of his heartbeat for a while before he finally woke up. Roman yawned loudly, making Grace giggle. “Good morning sleepyhead.” Roman sat up and grace did the same. “Good morning Miss Grace.” He placed a hand on Grace's exposed thigh and trailed his index finger along the tattoo that resided there. His touch gave her goosebumps. He gave her a mischievous look. “I see someone got a little comfortable last night.” He spoke, his voice low, sending more chills throughout Grace’s body. “Well it’s highly uncomfortable to sleep in jeans. I didn’t think it’d be a problem.” Grace crawled on top him and lay there. She played innocent. Grabbing Romans hands, she put them up over his head and pinned them down. “Oh believe me Miss Grace. It’s no problem at all.” Roman's voice got even lower. His eyes filled with lust and Grace breathed into his neck.
“Ya know Ro, I love it when you call me that.” She licked his neck before kissing it. She felt Roman shift under her. She gave him a coy grin. “What’s wrong Ro? Something bothering you?” Grace moved her face to his, their lips brushing. “Yeah.. you.” Roman was having trouble controlling himself. He wanted nothing more than to pounce on Grace and kiss her passionately. He needed to know how her lips tasted. Her once shy look now turned to desire. Her honey coloured eyes peered into his. She moved her lips back to his neck and spoke innocently. “Don’t worry Mister Reigns.. I don’t bite,” Grace bit his neck and he hissed in pain and pleasure. “Much.” The tension was intense between them, but neither had the courage to act on it. “As much fun as I know this would be, I can’t sleep with someone I’ve only known for a few hours.” Grace climbed off of Roman and perched herself at the other end of the couch. Roman exhaled. “Fuck, Grace. Now I need a shower.” He stood up, giving her a peeved look. She snickered. “I’ll get you back for this. For now though, I guess you can find something else to entertain yourself while I cool off.” Grace got off the couch and stretched, making a high pitched noise while doing so. Roman glanced over to her smirked. Grace shot him a dangerous look.
“Nah, I gotta get back home. I have animals to feed.” Roman seemed a little down that she wouldn’t stay, but he didn’t press her. “Alright, well I hope we can continue this another time?” He quirks a brow and Grace huffs. “Are you serious?” Her tone was harsh. Roman tried to hide the fact that she made him flinch. “There’s no way in hell I’m not keeping in touch with you. You’re a pretty decent guy Ro. I’d be doing us both a disservice if I didn’t give you my number.”
The whole way home, Grace thought about Roman. He had really made an impact on her. She was just as intrigued by him as he is to her. What captivated her the most was his gentleness. Roman is a big guy. She didn’t expect him to be so kind. It caught her off guard really. Any muscular man she’s ever been around turned out to be a dick. Grace was relieved Roman wasn’t like that.
No, Roman’s the nicest guy I’ve ever met. He’s sweet, painfully attractive, charming. I’d be stupid to not try get close to him. Roman’s the type of person I need in my life, Grace thought to herself.
She got lost in her mind, which made the drive home seemingly faster. Grace pulled into the driveway and turned off her car. She sat in the driver’s seat for a minute or two, dreading to go inside. Seth would inevitably show up at some point. He always did after a fight. She hoped that since she broke up with him, he wouldn’t show up. Grace sighed and exited the car.
Grace opened the door to her small and run down house. The two dogs, a corgi named Poindexter and a husky named Matilda, she owned came running up to her. “Hey guys! Oh I missed you so much!” She planted a kiss on both of their furry heads. “You guys hungry?! Okay! C'mon!” The canines followed her to the kitchen. Grace walked over to the cupboard where the dog food was located and scooped out some food. As she walked over to put some in the bowls, she noticed they had already been filled. Grace looked at them puzzled. “That’s weird..” Grace pulled out her phone and shot her friend Paige a text.
Hey, did you stop by the house last night or this morning?
No, why? What’s up?
Weird.. I just got back home from last night and the dogs food bowls are full. I thought maybe you had stopped by to check on me and saw I wasn’t home.
You’re just getting home?! Girl, I need details. But no, I haven’t been by.
Grace smiled at her phone. She went to reply, but stopped when she heard a deep voice.
“Wow, Grace. I didn’t think you’d be out all night with some guy you don’t even know. I thought you weren’t that kind of girl, at least, that’s what you told me. So how was it? Was Roman good? Did he please you?” The tone in his voice was sinister. It made her skin crawl. “What the fuck are you doing in my house Seth? I told you last night. We’re through. I don’t want a damn thing to do with you.” Grace spat. Seth cackled. “Sweetheart, c'mon now. You know you can’t resist me.” He stepped towards her, backing her against the counter. “Seriously though, how was Mr. Reigns? Did he give you the pleasure you think you deserve?” Seth whispered in Grace’s ear. His voice sent chills down her spine. He grinned evilly. Grace had an idea. If Seth thought she slept with Roman, she was going to use that to her advantage.
“If you really must know Seth, yes. Roman was very good. He had me screaming his name alllll night long.” The smile fell from Seth’s face. Grace smirked. He took the bait. “I don’t know how long we were at it, but I can tell you I’m sore because of it. God, Seth, he was soo great. A thousand times better than you. By far the greatest-” She suddenly felt hands around her throat. “SHUT UP! SHUT UP! YOU DID NOT SLEEP WITH HIM! YOU WOULDN’T DO THAT!” Seth shouted. His grip on her neck tightened as he pushed her against a wall. Grace coughed and smirked again. “Oh, I wouldn’t? Then why am I wearing his shirt Seth?” He looked at the top you were wearing. It in fact wasn’t yours. Seth’s grip tightened even more as he slammed her into the wall, making Grace gasp for air. He was beyond angry. “YOU FUCKING BITCH! I WILL NOT LET HIM HAVE YOU! YOU HEAR ME GRACE? YOU BELONG TO ME!”
Grace's vision began to blur. She was losing consciousness. She tried to plead for Seth to let her go, but couldn't form the words. Seth suddenly let her go. Grace crashed to the floor and instantly rubbed her neck. There's no doubt she would have bruises because of him. He looked down to her. The look on his face terrified her. Crouching down to Grace, Seth spoke again.
"I could've easily killed you Grace, but I'm not going to do that. You're much to important to Roman and I, for very different reasons. I'll let you go for now, give you time to think. He's going to be headed here soon, and I want you to make the right choice." He roughly grabs you hands and places a pendant and ring in your hand.
"Give these to your little one night stand. I'm sure he'll appreciate them.
Guarding Grace pt 3
A/N: Part three of finding Grace. Things will pick up in the next few chapters I promise. I just have a lot of ideas and drama to work out.
Pairings: Roman Reigns x OC (original character)
Warnings: Few swears
Summary: Grace goes home with Roman and they talk more. Grace learns some new information about Seth and Roman. Will Grace run, or listen to what Roman has to say?
After the altercation at the bar, Roman didn’t want Grace to be left alone. He insisted that she stay with him for the night. This also gives him a chance to explain some questions she undoubtedly had. “You don’t strike me as the type to bring a girl home you’ve only just met.” Grace gave him a big smile as he opened the door to his house. “What can I say? I’m fascinated by you.” He replies. There’s an obvious attraction between the two. Something about the other intrigued them. Whether it was their looks or personality, nobody knows. Grace walks in, swaying her hips. Roman trails his eyes along her body. ‘This girl has some serious curves.’ He thought to himself. He licked his bottom lip before biting it. “Grace?” She turns, arching her neck. “I uh.., never mind. Make yourself comfortable. I’ll be right back.” She watched Roman disappear down a hallway. Taking him up on his offer, Grace kicks off her boots by the door. She plops down onto the sofa and sighs heavily. “Fuck.” She mumbled and closed her eyes. “I can’t believe I broke up with Seth.” Grace groaned. He may be an absolute ass, but she still loved him.
“What? I didn’t think my couch was that uncomfortable.” Roman emerges. He’d changed his clothing and was now wearing a pair of black sweatpants and a dark grey T-shirt. He also had his hair pulled back in a tight bun. He came over and sat beside her. Without the locks in his face, Grace could more easily admire how handsome he was. She caught her self staring, and blushed. “I didn’t take you for the blushing type, Grace.” Her name sounded even more heavenly coming from his lips. Realizing she was still blushing, she quickly hardened her expression. “I’m not.” “Whatever you say, Miss Grace.” He winked. “Miss Grace, huh? I must tell you, Mister Reigns, you sure know how to woo a woman.” Grace leaned in, leaving just inches between their faces. She gave him a devilish smile. “What can I say? I’m known for being a charmer.” Roman’s eyes flash from the suns in hers, to her lips. The gesture didn’t go unnoticed by Grace. He leaned even more, so close that their lips brushed when she spoke.
“So how do you and Seth know each other?” Grace pulled back, reveling in the frustrated look on Roman’s face. She pretend pouted. Roman sighed, obviously annoyed, but answered anyway. “If I answered honestly, it’d only raise more questions than answers.” Grace suddenly became intrigued. “Well that certainly raises some too.” She replied. She crossed her arms and legs. “How did you two meet, honestly?” Roman sucked in air and exhaled. “We worked together. We guide and protect those people who really need it, whether they know it or not. We try and keep things balanced. Well, I do. Seth, not so much."
Grace laughed nervously. “I’m sorry. What do you mean you keep things balanced and protect people? Are you some kind of all mighty judge? You can’t be serious, right?” She searched Roman’s face for some truth. “Right?” Her voice small. “No, Grace. I mean we actually balance things and keep people safe. Well, I do. Seth no longer does.” Roman’s tone serious. “So… You guys are like… Gods or something?” Her voice quiet. “No, but we stem from Gods, more or less anyway.” Roman rubs the back of his neck. Grace could do nothing more than stare at him. You only hear about things like this in books and movies, not real life. “Wow, uh. Okay. That’s definitely a bombshell to drop on someone. So, if you guys aren’t Gods, then what are you?” Roman raked his brain for the right words. “I’m a protector of sorts, a Guardian, if you will. I come from a long line of them.” Grace doesn’t say anything but nods, prompting him to continue. “Seth used to be a Guardian as well, but turned on us. Now he’s known as a Jilt.” Roman explained. “Turned on you how?” Grace finally spoke. She found this all so interesting. She wanted to know every detail she could. Roman clenched his jaw and fists together. The expression in his eyes switched from calming to angry. He became pissed of at the thought of what that weasel Seth did. Grace found herself even more attracted to Roman now that he was angry. “My buddy and I, his name was Dean, went out with Seth to scope the area we were in. As Guardian’s, we go from place to place finding and helping people until we find the one we’re meant to protect. Well, we went to this small town on a cliff. Neither of us thought anything of the location. We were simply doing what was required of us. When the three of us got the the town, it was empty. Not a soul in sight. I went off to look around, leaving Seth and Dean by themselves.” Roman punched his thigh, earning a scare out of Grace. “When I came back, I only found Seth, no Dean. But Seth, he.. he had this sinister smile on his face. It sent chills up my spine. I knew something was up. I kept asking him where Dean went, but all he did was smile, then it clicked. Seth did something to him. He made him disappear. He fucked over Dean. I was so mad. I went to attack him, but he vanished. This was the first night I’ve seen Seth since that incident. I still don’t know what happened to Dean. I don’t even know if he’s still alive.” Roman put his head in his hands, fighting back tears. “We were like brothers man. That wasn’t supposed to happen.” He began to shake. He felt soft hands on top of his own. Grace placed herself on the floor in front of him. She took his masculine palms and placed them in her feminine hands. Roman looked at her, feeling instantly calm at the sight. She gave him a weak smile before planting soft kisses on his hands. Her words were gentle as she spoke. “Hey now, Ro. Just keep looking at me, alright? I’m not gonna tell you everything is okay. I couldn’t lie to you even I wanted. I’m not gonna fill you with false hopes.” Grace stopped for a moment and Roman chimed in. “You’re so good at cheering people up.” Sarcasm obvious in his voice, but the curve of his mouth showed he appreciated her comfort. Grace returned the smile with one of her own. “You didn’t let me finish. What I can tell you, is that you have my permission as Seth’s ex to beat the shit outta him. I can tell you that I’m sorry about the fate of your friend. Judging by the your reactions, I can see that you haven’t told many people. I’m glad you felt like you could tell me. Even Guardian’s have breaking points I’m sure.” She pressed her forehead to his. They gazed into each other’s uniquely colored eyes. Roman inched his face to Grace’s. “You know baby girl, I could stare at you forever.” His voice deep and raspy, clearly tired from crying. Grace kissed his nose. “Same here baby.” She still had so many questions, but decided it’d be best to wait till morning. She pulled herself back on the couch and laid back on Roman. He instinctually brought his arms around her and pecked the top of her head. “So guess this means you’re staying the night?” Grace looked up at him. “If that’s still alright with you.”
Guarding Grace pt 2
A/N: The second installment of my first series. I really hope that my portrayal of Grace being a total badass is coming off like I want it to.
Pairings: Roman Reigns x OC (original character)
Warings: Swears, mentions of violence, mild suggestions
Summary: Grace and Roman get to know each other a little bit, but not long before an unwanted guest appears.
“So how many tattoos do you have?” Roman tips the bottom of his glass up. He tossed the alcohol back like it was nothing. “Let’s see.. I’ve the the two sleeves, the chest piece, my back, ribs, left foot, right pinky finger… Oh, and I just started a piece on my thighs that I’m hoping will eventually be sleeves as well.” Grace stated. She looked the man sitting across from her and threw back some of her own drink. Roman looked rather impressed. “What about piercings? Anything other than the septum?” She would often get questions about her ink more than the piercings, but she didn’t mind. She loved talking about them. “Yep.” Brushing her blue hair behind her ears, Grace reveals an industrial piercing in her left ear and gages in both. She also sticks her tongue out to show off her tongue piercing. She stood up and turned her back to him. Lifting up her shirt a little, she revealed two back dimple piercings. Grace spun back to face Roman and winked. Roman seemed even more impressed. “Damn.” That’s all he could say. He had to admit, he found those back piercing to be quite nice. She kicked her feet up on the table they were talking at. She smugly took another swig of her drink. Roman chuckled. “What hurt the worse?” Grace thought for a moment. “I’d say it’s a tie between my tongue and back. Can’t choose. My boy loves the tongue piercing though.” She teased. Roman laughed. Graced smiled at him.
They’d only know each other for two hours, but they hit off instantly. Grace kicked his ass at pool, resulting in two rematches when he lost. The loser had to buy the drinks. “Thanks for the free booze by the way. Who knew victory could taste so good.” Grace finished her glass and slammed it on the table. She was feeling good. She hadn’t consumed enough to be drunk or tipsy, but she could feel the liquor swimming in her system. Roman tossed back the rest of his drink and clanked the empty glass to hers. “Hey a bet’s a bet right? I’m not the kind of man to back out on my word.” He eyed the beauty across from him. He noted the way her unique colored hair complimented her otherworldly eyes. She was truly a mesmerizing sight. Grace took in his gaze. She couldn’t deny that Roman was an extremely good looking guy. His cloudy eyes and inviting smile drew her in. She liked the scruff that lined his strong jaw. She damn near liked everything about this man. Honestly, if she wasn’t in a relationship with Seth, Grace would probably invite him back to her place. “So what about you, Mr. Reigns. You got yourself a girl?” What? There’s no harm in some innocent flirting. Roman was taken aback at the question. “No I don’t.” Grace smiled playfully. “What a shame. All that beauty and no one to share it with.” Batting her eyelashes, she reaches access the table and lightly touches his hand. Roman scoffs and shakes his head. He stands and gives her a small smile. “Want another drink?” He points back to the bar. “Sure! Why not? The night is still young!” Grace proclaims, earning a hearty laugh from the burly man.
Roman returns with two more glasses and hands one to Grace. They clink them together swallowing the liquid. “I’m going out in a limb here and saying that things aren’t going well with your boyfriend?” Grace brings a hand to her face and drums on her chin. “What ever would make you think that?” Sarcasm drenched her response. “Well, you’re here at a bar, by yourself. That’s a good indicator. Plus, all the flirting, not that I’m complaining. I enjoy all the subtle teasing.” He smiles slyly. “You would be correct sir. We’ve been fighting more than usual lately and tonight took the cake lemme tell you. I mean, the guy threw a vase at me that almost hit my face.” Grace sipped from the glass. The mood quickly shifted. “Seriously?” Roman said in disbelief. He suddenly found himself to be very angry. He noticed Grace rolling her eyes. “Fucking great.” She said, finishing her drink. Grace stood up and crossed her arms. Roman turned and saw the reason for his and her mood change. The doors to the bar open and in strolled Seth. His brown eyes instantly found hers and angrily walked over to her. “What the fuck Grace!? Why haven’t you been answering my calls or texts?” He spat. “Sorry. I didn’t realize I had to.” She fired right back. Seth’s nostrils flared. Grace knew this could get bad at any minute, but she stood her ground. “If you must know, I was acquainting myself with a new friend.” She tossed her head in Roman’s direction. Seth scoffed. “Really Grace? Of all the pieces of crap to try and whore out to, you choose Roman? I’m all the man you need. You don’t need anyone else.” He steps forward, promoting Roman to stand. “If you were the man you say you are Seth,” he stepped around the table and over to Seth. He wasn’t much taller than Seth, but he was in fact bigger than Seth. “You wouldn’t have thrown things at her, big guy.” Roman lightly shoved Seth. “Back off Reigns. She’s mine and you’re not getting her.” Seth went to push Roman back, but not before Grace intervened. “Wait wait wait. Hold on. You two know each other?” Roman stepped closer to Seth, making him back up. “Yeah you could say that. We used to be good pals.” He growled. “You know what? Screw this. I don’t need it. Grace is mine, and if she knows what’s good for her, she’ll come back to my place.” Seth stated. He tried to grab Grace’s arm, but she walked behind Roman. “I don’t think so babe. Consider this goodbye. We’re fucking through.” Seth only laughed at her. “Whatever. You’ll come back. You always do. I'd say it's been a pleasure to see your Roman, but it hasn't, though I feel like we'll be seeing more of each other soon.” He waves to you both and leaves.
Guarding Grace
A/N: I'm very proud of this story. I'm not going to spoil what it's about, but the title should be a good indicator. Grace is just a character I made up in my mind I have a few parts for this story written already, but I'm still working out some kinks in them.
Pairings: Roman Reigns x OC (original character)
Warnings: None
Summary: Grace gets in a fight with her boyfriend Seth and finds herself at a bar, being watched by a stranger.
Grace was never one to listen or obey. She did what she wanted, when she wanted. Nobody dared to get in this girl's way, except her boyfriend, Seth. He tried to put chains on Grace, tried to keep her "in her place", always to no avail. They fought quite often, but neither could ever think to leave the other. They were total opposites. They balanced each other out-- to an extent. Tonight was different however. The couple got into a screaming match, resulting in Seth throwing a vase. It just barely missed Grace's face. He chunked it so hard in her direction that she could hear it zoom by, catching her deeper than ocean blue hair in the wind it produced.
That's how Grace found herself at a grungy bar. It wasn't very busy, which she was grateful for. This gave her the perfect chance to clear her mind of all the negative energy. She tossed back a couple shots of Jack and headed to an available pool table. She grabbed a cue stick and some chalk before arranging the billiards in the triangle. She gave them a good roll on the velvet. Removing the triangle, she lines up her shoot and fired. The crack of the cue ball making contact with the other spheres filled her ears. Now Grace could truly be in her element. She continued to make more shots, unaware that she was being spied on, or so the man thought.
The fellow studied her intently. His stormy eyes followed every move she made. There was a distant between them, but Grace still caught on. "Hey guy. You might wanna just take a picture. It'll last way longer." She stood back up slowly after sinking the 8 ball in the pocket, almost tempting him. She spun around to the direction of the man, giving him a smirk. Her golden eyes staring daggers at the man. He returned her smirk and stood. As the stranger walked over, Grace's breath hitches. Her heart started to beat a little faster. Men didn't make her nervous usually, but something about this one sure did. Maybe it was his toned body, or the way his mane of black hair fell around his shoulders. Maybe it was his grey eyes that seemed to pierce through her. Grace wasn't sure, but she liked the feeling he gave her. He gave of a kind of dangerous vibe and Grace lived for danger. Before she knew it, the mystery man was standing in front of her. He cast his gaze down to her golden eyes. At 5'3", the fellow towers her. They eyed one another for a bit, taking notice of the others tattoo. "Nice sleeve." Grace nods to the inked arm. "Thanks, although it's nothing compared to the two you have." The stranger points to her arms, both covered in color. She runs her tongue along her bottom teeth and smiles while she tugs the collar of her shirt down a little ways. The man quirks a brow. Grace reveals a sliver of the chest piece she bears. "I've got plenty more than just these dude." The man laughs. "How bout a game of pool?" She asks. "Sure." "I have to warn you though, I'm pretty good, so don't cry when I beat you. You gotta a name, mystery man?" Grace grabs another pool cue and hands it to the man. He reaches for it, and their fingers briefly touch. "Roman." He says. "I'm Aerith Grace. If you ever call me Aerith, I will personally break your arm." Roman holds his hands up in defense. "Got it. Just Grace then. Lady's first." He steps aside and bows lightly. Grace chuckles. "Don't flatter me big man."
