October 13, 1995

It’s Friday the 13th!  I had tests today!  I didn’t get my Geometry test back… I took an English vocab test, then I went to Ag.  We are learning about lambs. 

At snack today Clint tried to rope me.  I can’t tell if he likes me or not yet.

I also had a Spanish test, and watched a movie about the Reformation in Euro.

At lunch I went down to Ag.  Steve, Zack, Hempster and I all hung-out.  Steve is the one with the red hair.  He hasn’t asked anyone to homecoming yet.  He said he knew who he was going to ask and I told him he better ask someone quick or she would already be going with someone else.  He said he’d ask her on Monday.  I think he likes me.

Cool.  He’s a junior, a wrestler, has a Varsity jacket, and loves Ag.

Mom came at 2 and brought me my flags.  I did pretty good at practice.  I don’t think Frank is going to pick me for captain.  Before we left today he said Sabre try-outs were tomorrow, and there’s room or 3 more sabres.  Meaning me, Natalie, and Corrie are all the other three.  Oh well.  Maybe he just doesn’t like me. I happened to think my essay was pretty good.

I have to be at ag at 7:30am tomorrow and at colorguard from 8:15am until 1pm, then back at Ag until 3:45pm, and then back to colorguard until 9:45pm. 

Scott wants me to go bowling with him.  Ugh!

Flag Line again

September 5, 1995

I just realized I’d put August on all of my September entries.  Whoops!  I guess I just don’t want school to start. 

I slept in again today.  It felt really good!

I got new black gloves for color guard today.  They turn my hands black too.  Practice actually seemed to go pretty fast today.  It was so hot though!  Frank got there at 4:30pm and watched both the sabres and the flags. He said he’d tell us at the end who would be off the sabre line and on the swing or flag line. 

Of course, I was one of the sabres cut.  I knew it was coming.  I mean, how am I supposed to be good at something I’m afraid of?  He told me I’d be learning a flag spot, and re-evaluate me on the 16th for sabre.  So tell me, how am I supposed to get better at sabre if I’m learning new drill and new flag work?  He’s crazy if you ask me.

Mom picked me up at 6 to go to work.  I was relieving Bryan, so I didn’t really care if I was late. 

When I got there Wanda had my red t-shirt and 2 free movie tickets waiting for me already!

So I changed into my new shirt and went to work.  I had to clean out the vanilla and chocolate machine today. 

Matt & Dad came in to see me, and Dad bought a red bag.  I saw Desmond, Kyle’s dad, and Justin and Dice.  Justin even talked to me for awhile after Dice left.  I think he likes me.  He’s pretty cool.

I actually got out of work on time today.

The Bubba show is on now.

Mark still hasn’t called.
