Guild Venomfly X

Alright, no one asked for it, but here we go, it’s Guild Venomfly X!!

Linus the Gunner, son of Sacha the Alchemist and Kenneth the Highlander/Landschneckt. He learned his dad’s alchemist formulas, and decided a gun would be a better dispersal method. He learned his pop’s battle tactics, and applied it to guns. He learned his Aunt Joanna’s healing skills, and applied it to guns. And he learned his Cousin Relic’s binding skills, and applied it to guns. He doesn’t have the same drive as his fathers, but is the current leader of Guild Venomfly, even if he doesn’t know which direction to lead them at times.

Charlotte, AKA Chuck, Joanna’s niece, who grew up with Joanna’s (often embellished) stories of Yggdrasil. She constantly asked the question, “Why don’t you just take a chainsaw into the labyrinth?” and when she was old enough to explore herself, tried to do so. After countless retoolings of her chainsaw, and research, she eventually took up the drive blade (built by herself) and became an Imperial. With all of Joanna’s intensity, but none of her restraint, she is the new Guild Venomfly’s powerhouse.

Sacha, Kenneth, Joanna, and even Tater Tot do not like Foliage. They aren’t sure where Foliage came from. One day, Relic just came home with Foliage trailing behind them, and Foliage asking them tons of questions inferring the answers through Relic’s silence. Foliage learned every bind and ailment Relic had to offer, and using a Zodiac’s rig has become an accomplished Arcanist, aiding Venomfly through his odd spell circles. He talks a lot, and seems to have an almost alien sense of humor.

This is Milosh. Milosh seems to update their appearance every five years or so, and as long as he’s been neighbors with Sacha and Kenneth, not once has anyone noticed him age. He’s a war magus, but despite saying he was in medical school the same year as Joanna, she never saw him there. In fact, the school doesn’t seem to know who Milosh is. And no one has ever seen him eating... He signed on as Venomfly’s new War Magus the minute they left Lagaard. He seems to avoid sunlight as much as possible. (Portrait to change)

Autumn is a valiant hero on a quest to defeat Yggdrasil, any Yggdrasil. He was passing through Lagaard, and tried to find a guild willing to support him. As Linus wasn’t sure which direction to take Venomfly in so they could reach new heights, he took Autumn up on his quest. Autumn is quiet, but loyal to his new friends to a T. Though... Milosh makes him very nervous. Edit: Autumn is non-binary, and uses they/them and he/him.

Hello! Joanna talked me into making a Tumbler, and this is me making a first post on this old magic tablet. I'm unsure of where Joanna got it, but she gave it to me for my birthday. Which is sweet, and vaguely suspicious. Kenneth doesn't understand this stuff, but that is okay! He likes when I take photos of us.

I will be Q'ing posts from the "Etrian Odyssey" tag! I wanted to Q things from the "High Lagaardian Odyssey" tag, but for some reason Etria has the Yggdrasil exploration thing locked down???

Oh well! When I can I will Q up some hot meems! (Joanna says thats some interweb lingo, and I hope I'm using it correctly!)

I'd like to think after Sacha and Kenneth finished exploring the labyrinth and uncovering everything in it, they got married, and due to the fam and notoriety that Guild Venomfly at that time, the entire town was invited.

They would have fought over who's best man Tater Tot would be before deciding that he'd be the ring bearer, and that Joanna and Relic would be co-best man for both of them.

Before the wedding in modern sit-com fashion, with everything going wrong and wanting the perfect day, Sacha and Kenneth would get married in before rhe ceremony in the guild hall, officiated by Marion, with Joanna, Relic and Tater Tot there. Then at the real ceremony, it wouldn't matter how bad things got.

And after, as Lagaard's adventuring style economy declined and tourism sparked with people taking tours of the labyrinth, Sacha and Kenneth would spend their evenings at the bar, exchanging stories with their friends, and anyone that would listen.

In the end, when they got old, after they had some kids and the kids have moved on, long after Tater Tot had passed on himself, Joanna is in her tenure teaching combat medicine at University, and Relic had become one with the forest again... Sacha and Kenneth travel to Etria, and enter the Yggdrasil there and are never seen again.

Though, a particularly skilled set of explorers making it to the Lost Shinjuku do find the remains of two explorers, holding each other and sitting in the window of a building. Alchemy gauntlets and an axe piled off to the side, no longer needed.

Made some Venomfly family pride icons, ended up using the one with the whole family, but I might change to either Sacha and Kenneth with Tater Tot, or just Sacha and Kenneth later. Though they’re all pretty queer.

Sacha the Alchemist, Kenneth the Highlander are gay and in love.

Joanna the War Magus is bisexual, though it takes a special kind of person to be able to see past her ego...

And Relic the Hexer is asexual and agender.

So, interesting thing, I have my first straight head cannon of an Etrian Odyssey character in my new Etrian Odyssey V guild, Guild Ice Bat. My celestrian shaman is straight, but he's also trans, cuz full cisgender AND heterosexual head cannons are for suckers. Jk if you your guildies are cis/het you are valid.

He's a massive dude bro ladies man, who hits on every woman he comes across (except for the celestrain who works at the bar, who's name escapes me, but her weird balloon boobs make him uncomfortable), and who's guild mates only tolerate him on their team cuz of his dank elemental buffs, and only tolerate him as a friend cuz he always knows where a party is going on, the best clubs in Iorys, and is surprisingly sensitive to his friends emotional needs and is a good friend to lean on when upset.

He also knows the best Botanist with the dankest herbs. (The botanist in Guild Venomfly V)

Guild Venomfly, original flavor!

I had a request for a bio post about the original Guild Venomfly! Unlike my bio post about the New Neo Venomflies, this will also include how exploring Yggdrasil changed them.

Front Line!

We have Sacha, an angry little palm alchemist! Much to his boyfriends horror, he fights on the front line, smacking the shit out of enemies with elemental smacks! When he first started in the labyrinth, he let Kenneth call most, if not all, of the shots. Over the course of exploring, he took the mantle as Guild Leader, and went out of his way to take care of his team. He even stopped carrying a staff for a while, and opted for a more tactical weapon, but in the end he kept the staff.

Tater Tot, named by Sacha, was brought into the team to keep Sacha alive, but quickly grew to do more than that. Tater Tot is nigh indestructible. Between his ability to withstand mortal blows, and heal himself again, he started protecting the entire team, even going so far as to take the entirety of Wilhelm’s final attack, and not only survive it, but heal himself back to full health. Tater Tot is a good dog.

Kenneth, a highlander that moved into the city because it seemed a lot more glamorous than living with his people in the wilderness. After falling in love with Sacha, and starting a guild with him, he quickly realized that his highlander fighting style DID NOT synergize with the rest of the team. For Sacha, he turned in his spear and took up an axe and trained to be Landschneckt. Using his elemental follow ups, he found he could follow all of Sacha’s attacks with his own, dealing out twice the team damage at little cost to his stamina. Also, it meant he could be closer to Sacha during combat, to keep an eye on him.

Back Line!

Joanna, the War Magus. She went through seven different guilds before Venomfly. In each one she was kicked out for being rude, callous, angry, self centered, and down right mean. Granted, she was still all those things in Venomfly, but they gave her a chance to push through all of that so that she was only self centered and rude. As obnoxious as she could be at times, her prior labyrinth experience proved indispensable for the team, and she grew on them. She especially grew on Relic, who is still her best friend to this day.

Relic the Hexer has a backstory that, no one else on the team knows, not even Joanna. When the team found Relic, they were in the labyrinth. Not because they were taking a stroll, but because they were living there. A few months prior, Relic had lost their entire guild they had been apart of. Their guild had made it all the way to the third stratum, and had been slaughtered in front of them. Staying in the labyrinth was their way of atoning for their guilt over the ordeal. Because of how easy it was for Sacha to let Relic be apart of the group, Relic joined Venomfly. They would literally kill for their guild, and have done so on more than one occasion.

It’s the NEW Neo Venomfly Guild!

After exploring the labyrinth and gaining fame and fortune, Guild Venomfly decided they needed some new blood to continue on the exploration!

In the front row we have…

Niles, a combat medic! He’s also the leader of the team! While he’s quick to make judgements, and that can sometimes get them in trouble, his quick decision making often makes or breaks the fight for them! He also has a HUGE crush on Elizar, and they will most likely be a couple by the end of the second stratum!

Nagisa, a ronin that’s just trying to find their place in the world, between what direction to take their skills and their own gender identity, they still have a lot to learn about themselves! But they make friends quickly and would die for their friends!

Quill, a dark hunter, he’s the inappropriate element of the party that has a thing for everyone. He has a weakness for soft cute things, and the rest of the party suspects he’s a furry.

In the back row we have…

Elizar, a support gunner. He’s asexual and dedicated to the job. The job being firing guns to keep everyone alive. He likes guns. He likes his friends. He’s happy to have both in his life. He also rarely speaks, he prefers to let his guns do the talking, but he has noticed Niles has taken a liking to him, and by the end of the second stratum, will be smitten with his leadership skills enough to say yes to a date.

Fern, a back row protector. He screams a lot. Always during fights. He gets scared, that’s why he’s in so much armor, and the screaming draws all the enemies, so he makes a decent protector.
