"Hey, Morg? Did this invasion happen before? I've got zero memory of this."
Haley frowned as she adjusted her hair, glancing at the time portal hidden in her basement hideout. On the other side - and about thirty years into the future - her little sister shrugged, casually scrolling through a holographic display. "Nope, I don't see anything. 'Official' first contact was two years before you showed up as normal, but Earth's not meant to get dragged into a multi-terrestrial war for a good ten years or so." Morgan said casually, shutting down the display. "I guess somebody's changed something they weren't meant to. Sorry, sis, can't help you out any here."
"Wonderful." Haley sighed, slipping the last hairpin into place before grabbing her suit and pulling it on. She still wasn't sure if she should even be fighting in this war, paradox or not, but it wasn't like she could just stand by and let her mother - and at least one possible father - die horribly. "Alright, talk to you later."
"Kick butt, sis!" Morgan said cheerfully before she closed the portal. Haley stared at the wall of her cupboard for a few moments before sighing and pulling on her mask, the HUD her sister designed flickering into view. Making sure that her stutter ring and wrist launcher were attached securely, she grabbed her grappling hook and wandered out into the streets. Glancing up at the sky and seeing absolutely nothing, she couldn't help but wonder one thing:
