What was the last photo you took before the pandemic hit? This was a question a friend asked on Facebook...I looked back and it was interesting to trace my photos back the last couple months. The world has changed so quickly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . My last photo was a shot of the newly restored Guild Theatre marquee in downtown Portland. The last time I saw the sign, and the building, I could tell they were refurbishing it. In the beginning of March, I was excited to see it restored and took a couple shots. I wished the car and crew where not blocking the main entrance, but the car shows the unique scale and height of the sign. Swipe to see the unfurnished state. What a change. I am so happy to see a building and marquee restored instead of demolished. . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now that things have slowed down, I am able to read up about the changes there. Apparently a Japanese bookstore is located there called, Kinokuniya, a major chain in the USA and Japan. One article said they were planning to add a cafe in there as well. Has anyone been in the store yet? . . . #portlandoregon #guildtheatre #refurbished #marquee #theatremarquee #restoredbuilding #reburbishedmarquee #bookstore #travelportland #portland #downtownportland #lastphotobeforepandemic (at Guild Theatre) https://www.instagram.com/p/CAlbdrAhLnR/?igshid=1k2qdl7jpxa4d
