First I turned Cuteguy into a chair, now I've turned Hotguy into a bench!

This one didn't need anywhere near as much repair work thankfully, just a bit of rot removal and filler on a couple back slats.

got an air purifier because i have so many things wrong with me and i thought it would help. been less than 24 hours and i fucking love this?? why does the air literally smell cleaner. and it's just like keeping the room nice and cool with the air conditioner and fans off too. she's based. she's legit you guys

So my friend had an old wooden stool in her back garden that was sad and had been sitting out there for a few months, so I took it home, dried it, cleaned it, sanded it and painted it ☺️And here it is now! ✨🌿 I used acrylic paint markers to do all of the details 🌘

I still do wood working and furniture refinishing projects whenever inspiration strikes. And I found an absolute TREASURE! ✨

I found this mid century 'Kingfisher Limited' fold-able school desk at an antique shop! It's hard to find information on the manufacturer; but the short version is they operated out of West Bromwich crafting school and office furniture between 1910-1977(ish). You can see on the top where the inkwell would go for students to dip their pens into. It has so much charm, you can see the decades of students scratching in their initials (shout out to Jr, MJ, and 'DougySue'🤣) I'm pretty sure one determined delinquent took a knife to the front edge. It has so much character, It's perfect.

I took it apart piece by piece to strip off the original stain and topcoat. I put all the hardware like screws and hinges in labeled baggies to set aside and clean later. Then I sanded the wood back to it's natural state so I could re-stain it semi close to how it was before but a tad lighter. (Keeping some of the graffiti, for the history) Then I got out some furniture paint to accentuate some of the trims and edges 🖌️ A 'midnight blue', close to ink colors.

Finished it off with some oil based polyurethane topcoat and it came out gorgeous!

I love that it can fold up for easy storage. Though it is heavy due to it being made of solid wood (my best guess; majority red oak and maaaaaaaybe an elm). Overall; 10/10 would desk again.

Hi, bitches! I was wondering if you had any advice on buying a smartphone? I want to go the used/refurbished route because it's cheaper/better for the environment but I don't know where to start. I'm perfectly okay with an older model as long as it works and won't need replacing for a while, but I've never bought my own phone so I was wondering if you had any advice? Especially with picking a cell provider since that part is really intimidating

Apple itself sells refurbished iPhones and other products. They're a little more expensive (and you're giving money to a giant corporation with questionable labor practices still), but it comes with the assurance that the item in question is in decent shape.

Another option is BackMarket or even Best Buy if you want to avoid giving money to Apple. (I personally own an iPhone, MacBook Pro, and iPad, so I'm not telling you to avoid them completely... they're good machines.)

As for the service provider, check out Republic Wireless or Mint Mobile! Both are good, inexpensive alternatives to places like Verizon and AT&T. And they aren't even paying me to tell you that!
