the irony of pat mcafee cutting a “self-aware” promo about the state of wrestling while actively being part of the problem is actually insane to me
like we’re supposed to nod along while he talks about what’s wrong with the product, but his entire involvement *is* what’s wrong with the product
this is a guy who:
* disappears whenever football or media gets busy
* comes back for high-profile storylines
* immediately gets placed into programs with top-tier talent
* then vanishes again once it’s over
and somehow we’re framing that as meaningful storytelling?
meanwhile you have a roster that is genuinely stacked right now and people like ilja dragunov, tiffany stratton, and giulia can’t even consistently get on the card
and instead we’re giving time to:
* part-time personalities
* celebrity crossovers
* people who are not actually invested in the week-to-week product
i can come up with multiple better storylines off the top of my head for that spot that would actually build someone who is THERE every week
wwe does not have a talent problem right now. it has a prioritization problem.
stop pretending the product needs outside attention to feel important when the roster is already strong enough to carry it
because at this point, the “self-awareness” just feels like a joke when nothing actually changes
Why I think we should get a Luca 2 from Disney 🐟
(aka me ranting)
I LOVE THIS MOVIE.
IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED LUCA I AM JEALOUSSS BECAUSE I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO WATCH IT SPOILER-FREE AGAIN 😭
yes I'm very inconsistent in terms of my phases for it (I just rewatched it again a few hours ago and ofc it's been I my mind) but every single time of watch it again, I am still the same level impacted at the end of the movie like wow. I want more 😭 I have watched this movie countless time and oh my god I have never been so attached to a Disney movie before 💔
Am I being dramatic?? Maybe. And I get it. Disney/pixar has been in its sequel area with (some) sorta uneccasary ones being made and people are yelling for original movies which yes, I stand by with!!! (like hoppers is coming out soon, not sure how eager I am for it but I'll probs watch it lol)
But it's just this movie. pixar please. Consider 5 years later bringing this movie into your sequel list 🥲 it's the only one I'll ever ask for lol.
and yeah, it's honestly really sad because if luca wasn't released in 2021, holy shit it would have done amazing at the box office. But I think out of soul, turning red and luca it was the most successful out of the 3 correct me if I'm wrong? (I actually have watched soul which was no doubt awesome, never got a chance for turning red lol) so I get why pixar making making a sequel for this movie with such low turnout (because of covid I might add) is really small chance, even if they brought it to cinemas I think in 2024
Seriously, I think the concept of this movie is so wholesome and just pure. Like it's nothing crazy plotted and that's also why I think a sequel would be perfect: it's not got like overly high expectations for the plot to meet except having that just pure pixar feel 😛 and luca has such a cosy original vibe to it i feel like any direction they'd take I'd honestly watch anything with the characters and that GORGEOUS ANIMATION?? IT WAS SO PRETTYYYYYY DONT EVENNN
And the fact luca obviously went to school in the end, what the hell, we could have a movie sequel based on that and his struggles in school, just seeing what their lives are like!! It's just an open ended movie to me that has so much more potential to explore and I'd probably die of happiness if they released a sequel (seeing more guilia alberto and luca canon interactions would make me beyond words overjoyed) 💖 like we could see what the Italian school looks like genova, how the students treat luca, how much alberto misses seeing his friends til it's summer, oh the possibilities just seem so unending and fun to explore man 😭 (if alberto ever saves up for another vespa lol)
like. look at them.
AND YES. I KNOW WE GOT CIAO ALBERTO. 🫡 WE WERE BLESSED TO HAVE 10 MORE MINUTES OF THEM. it shows the movie did go decent for them to make an extra short film. (I FOUND THE TRANSLATION FOR LUCA'S LETTER TO ALBERTO ON PINTEREST) 🥺
But I wish they still considered a sequel.... and speaking of, I think ciao albertos director (I think she's called kenna) released LITERAL LUBERTO FANART. 🥺🥺 omfffggggggggg you didn't want to know my reaction when I saw them, I was in shock too because that was a bold move by her WHICH I ABSOLUTELY STAND FOR BECAUSE THEM <3 though it also means Disney actually making another movie (and probably avoiding the shipping) is making chances even lower lol. But I couldn't believe it!! The fanart was adorable too, I've defo reblogged em on tumblr a million times lol (and I did just then oops 💀)
I remember 2025 July I think i saw pixar posted this on YouTube and I did a double take lol (ofc I took a ss of it when I saw it 💀)
I've heard NO ONE talk about this and was honestly dissaponted when it turned out not really being related to luca (but the director being the same MUST mean there has to be cameos in there somehow, right 😝) though I definitely would still watch it because obviouslyyy. It makes me wonder if the director would even want to make a luca sequel but I seriously am looking forward to what 'Gatto" could bring 🙌
But will I still hold onto hope we could get a sequel, but of course 🥰 I feel lke the luca fandom is dead but oh well this is me more shouting into the void LOL
