I després anar tirant cap a Nafplio.
And here's a little work I did for school, it's an essay of what I did every day while I was in Japan.
Japan 2013
First of all I stayed in Japan with my mum and a few friends and I took all the information from a diary I kept while I was there.
17.08.2013
We arrived on the 16th, but we got there so late that we didn't really start the holiday until the 17th. So the next day we went to the outskirts of the city to see the bambu forest. It was very hot , and my mum and I were really tired cause of the jet lag. Afterwards, we went to see the golden temple, a really beautiful place to visit, specially in the afternoon when the sun shines and it reflects in the temple so it makes it a beautiful moment. We had lunch in a market and in the afternoon we went sightseeing.
18.08.2013
We woke up really early, at six in the morning to take a fast train to Magome, were we had lunch before the little excursion. We started at twelve and after 3 hours we arrived at Tsumagojuku. Afterwards a bus came and we went to the Ryokan, which is a kind of spa. We had an enormous typical Japanese dinner and before going to bed we had a bath.
19.08.2013
On the next day we woke up, had breakfast and we went to get the train. After 2 hours we arrived at Matsumoto, where we had lunch. An interesting thing is that in the restaurant windows there was all the food they had in the Menu made of plastic, so you could see the aspect of the food. Some of them were very realistic. After that we went to see the Castle and go shopping. We relaxed in the hotel and then we went to dinner.
20.08.2013
We woke up and had breakfast in a French bar. We went to a Kami-Suwa (near Matsumoto) where there's a lake and we cycled around it. I loved it, because it had been a long since I last cycled and cycling around the lake was easy because it was flat and it was difficult to get tired; so I enjoyed it a lot. Next we went back to Matsumoto and took a train to Tokyo. As soon as we arrived, we went to the apartment we had for the four days we stayed there
21.08.2013
That day we started our 4-days in Tokyo, starting with a temple, called Shinju. It was full of foreign people, some of them catalan. Afterwards we went to Shibuya to see the famous crossing, where millions of people cross it every day, we had lunch and dinner there. We also went to see the “town hall”. After arriving at our station it started to rain really hard and we got lost. Finally we arrived at our apartment all wet.
22.08.2013
That day for me was really exhausting, first of all because we hardly had breakfast. Then we went to the fish market, where we went to see the shops and had brunch in a bar where they served raw fish with vegetables that is called sashimi. I didn't eat anything, only a little bit of rice, therefore I had a hot-dog 2 hours later. In the afternoon we went to a neighbourhood called Ginsa full of very expensive and well-known brands, like Dior, Giorgio Armani... Finally we went to see the Imperial- Palace and went to Roppongi to go shopping and have dinner. A fun-fact is that in the Tokyo underground there are some carriages that are for women-only., because if not, in the hours that there's lots of people some would grope them.
23.08.2013
We woke up, first we had breakfast and we went to see if we could rent a boat, but unfortunately we couldn't. So instead we went to Ueno, another neighbourhood, where there's a park. Next we went to have lunch in a sushi train restaurant. Afterwards we went to Harajuku where the girls are dressed strangely, and saw an exhibition of strange clothing. We went to have dinner in a German restaurant and then went back home.
I liked a lot Tokyo because of so many things, like they are all very polite and respectful, they are really advanced in terms of technology and there's lots of technology too, the streets are full of these enormous buildings that have screens on it, the people dressing strangely and walking like if they were the king/queen of the world... It was astonishing.
24.08.2013
On the 24th we went to see a Museum of the creators of My neighbour Totoro, “The Mitaka Studio Ghibli Mueseum”. I loved that museum, because their films are awesome and all the stories, characters and landscapes that are shown in these films, are incredible; so to be able to see where they created everything was impressing. We had lunch at the station and back to our apartment because we had to pack because the next day our friends were going back to Spain and my mum, a friend and I were going to an island. After that we went to see some shopping centres and we had dinner in one of this restaurants where there is in the middle of the table an ember and you cook yourself. Another fun-fact is that in the streets you can't smoke, it's illegal.
25.08.2013
We woke up really early and we went to take a train to the airport. We had lunch there and took the plane to Naha, Okinawa, the island. We arrived we went to the hotel, and went sightseeing. It was a really touristic city, like Blanes.
26.08.2013/27.08.2013
Those three days we didn't anything interesting. We went to a little island called Akajima where we went snorkelling, sunbathing, and relaxing. Being in Akajima was really satisfactory, because we chilled out so much that you didn't even remember of your name. To be able to go cycling everywhere, like “I want to go to the beach that's on the other side of the island. I'll take the bicycle and in a moment I'm there”. It's difficult to describe it with words.
28.08.2013
Finally, on the 28th we took a fast boat to Okinawa again, and there we went to see the Memorial Peace: a museum about the Okinawa War. It was really shocking because you could read all the experiences that the survivors had, and they were really dramatic. Afterwards we went to the hotel and we walked around the city again.
