Elas vestem saris cor-de-rosa e empunham bastões de madeira, que são utilizados para intervir em situações extremas, de violência física contra mulheres, para autodefesa ou defesa de outras. A Índia é um dos países mais violentos do globo para mulheres, onde a misoginia se mostra latente na forma do aborto seletivo, da violência doméstica, dos estupros coletivos, do abandono de meninas, da naturalização do casamento e da prostituição infantis.
