Gulfacers are the 2nd sophont species discovered on the planet Craidaca, contacted in the year 3825. Descended from clever, pack hunting predators, their bipedal stature frees up their front limbs for tool use. These limbs are limited in motion, however, and are mostly used for carrying, with more delicate manipulation being performed by their beaks. This species is notable for their shocking sexual appetites, taking full advantage of their 3 sex reproductive system to engage in unprecedented levels of nonreproductive mating. These sexual habits pervade several aspects of their day to day lives, even culminating in incestuous orgies on a semi regular basis. Limited in their grasping capabilities despite effectively having three manipulation appendages, much of the manual labor in their society is conducted through a disciplined system of child slavery. In many ways, their society encourages work for children and play for adults, an inverse of most social, intelligent species. In the intergalactic community of The Ecosystem, Gulfacers are often stereotyped as hedonistic and crude, with much gossip and rumor about the goings on in their homeworld settlements. Many take issue with their social structure, while others defend them as merely being free spirited and eccentric. Their child slavery system has since been banned on all offworld settlements since a crackdown was issued in the year 3872.
