I literally can't win. I get into an argument about gun violence and how big a problem it is with someone who I regularly debate and I always feel like shit after cause he always has better points or more knowledge on the subject. Finally something I know a lot about and researched for the sake of my argument and I'M STILL THE "LOSER", STILL THE ONE WHO'S LOOKED DOWN ON. When the facts are supportive of my own points, it doesn't affect ENOUGH people to be relevant and it doesn't affect him so he doesn't want anything to change. I fucking CANNOT. I can never win for losing. I'm so heated rn.
I for one strongly recommend owning a gun for protection. I don't own a gun and I get murdered at least 3 times a week.
Never blame something that cannot act on it's own. Guns don't pull their own trigger. People are killed every day by knives, cars, coconuts, heart attacks, and a million other things. You can't change that, you are looking at the small picture again. We have to better teach and help people understand that killing is a terrible thing. We all know that as children, if the hero in our shows lost his weapon the villain would not throw his down to make it even. Stop trying to take guns from the people that will most likely not use them for evil. Unarming the hero does not get rid of the villains. it only makes them stronger. GET THIS THROUGH YOUR THINK SKULLS!! GUNS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM, THEY ARE ONLY A MEANS. If you set a gun next to another person it will not kill them. I know that we have all heard this before but it is true "That is like blaming a spoon for making someone fat". It is a means. The people that get them taken away are not the ones that are out to kill people. They are just good people that want to protect their families or just freaking like going out to the shooting ranges.
