VSSL - Russian civilian semi-auto version of the famous VSS Vintorez 9x39mm suppressed sniper rifle.

Due to Russian gun laws, the weapon is classified as a shotgun. In Russia, a rifle license can be obtained only after a minimum of 5 years of shotgun ownership. In order to allow for civilian owners to own a rifled barrel weapon without waiting 5 years, the .366 TKM cartridge was created.

.366 TKM is based on the 7.62×39 M43 case necked out to .366 (9.5mm), with taper but no neck. Its main intent is for the use of surplus weapons bored out or rebarreled to smoothbore configuration, preferably with Paradox rifling at the front 140mm (4.5″) of the bore, to create rifle-like ballistics while retaining the legal designation of a shotgun.

Unlike AK pattern rifles bored out from 5.45mm or 7.62mm, the .366 TKM is nearly identical in diameter to real deal 9x39mm — though .366 TKM projectiles are ever so minutely larger than the .364 or .365 in diameter of real 9x39mm projectiles.

Added another Mosin Nagant to my collection, she is a hex receiver m91 from 1926, previous owner had cut down the barrel an arbitrary amount so I took it to a gunsmith for him to take it down to an M44 mosin length barrel of 20 inches and got him to also put on an m44 folding bayonet, but otherwise took a bubba’d rifle and made her a little bit better. Also pictured my 1942 m91/30 mosin and my SKS
