College Survival 101
1. BRING A LAPTOP!! It is very helpful and keeps you organized. Don’t forget to charge it though or bring the charger with you! If you don’t have one, you should be able to check one out at the library.
2. Try to go to all of the events, especially if it’s “free”. I mean we did already pay for it through our tuition and fees so might as well go!
3. DON’T PLAGARIZE! IT’S NOT WORTH IT! There are many free sites that detects plagiarism in your essays, but there are some good ones that do have some fees. Or check through turnitin.com, sometimes you can check there!
4. Look at where your classes are located at before school starts. You don’t want to get lost or end up in the wrong classroom.
5. Making your own lunch is cheaper than eating out everyday!
6. Use a planner, online or on paper, it doesn't matter as long as you are organized.
7. Read the syllabus, the instructors actually follow it unlike in high school.
8. If you’re having trouble writing an essay, step away from it, relax, and come back to it later. BUT DON’T START ON IT THE DAY BEFORE. Give yourself at least three days before it’s due.
