Would kyos crew like metal music?

Out of Kyo’s entire crew, only Jeggy and Ron have ever heard metal music. Ron likes it (somewhat secretly), Jeggy does not. Kyo would definitely enjoy it though, provided the volume isn’t set to “deafening”. It’s very much not Akim’s thing… Or at least that’s what she claims. It does keep her awake, and that’s a good thing. Vasim might take a while to warm up to it but would appreciate anything with a good beat. Give him a while to learn the words and he’ll sing along (with mixed results, his voice is best suited for shanties). Aoi is neutral, leaning on disapproving, but acknowledges the cultural value. Rina just hides under the furniture until it goes away.

So I was trying to tell Mom some story bits about Vasim earlier tonight and she didn’t know which character I was talking about.

“The apex I drew earlier this week?” I tried. No go.

What are the oddest food combinations your crew likes to eat? (Like Peanut butter and pickle, or something)

Hm… General consensus is Namina’s fondness for dirturchin and banana is extremely strange. Otherwise… Well, everyone thinks Nyota’s a bit odd for liking pussplum in general, let alone mixed into pozest. Honorable mention goes to Arjun’s grape and automato smoothies. Lumen is the only one who would try it and found it actually rather nice, though he has to take the screws out or they stick to his brand and make him rather loopy.

Do you enjoy using feels daggers as acupuncture needles and stabbing us all in the back with them? Because I do enjoy it!

Who is your favorite Nova?

…just out of my three? Good question. Asking a writer who their favorite character is would be like asking a doting mother which beloved child is their favorite. Sonny’s sweet and adorable, Lumen’s calm and reliable and probably the reason that everyone in the crew is still alive… Though I must say, after working with him so much as I write his backstory, I’ve grown very fond of Isobu Luko. So my answer is… Yes?

What sort of holidays would be celebrated?

Um… by whom? The crew in general? Considering they’re in space most of the time and have something like seven different calendars between them, their ideas of holidays are really varied. They have a yearly gift-giving (kind of “thanks for sticking around”) tradition started, but that’s about it for things everyone celebrates. If people are bored or gloomy though, Namina or Sonny might get things started for an impromptu party of sorts, or Nyota will make everyone’s favorite meals to cheer things up a bit. Arrowmail also remembers quite a few of his home village’s festivals and has started teaching Sonny and Oldarva about those.(It’s also been something like maybe three months at most since the story began, so they haven’t had much time for figuring this out yet.)

Do penguins have a centralized society? Like a penguin Empire, conglomerate, etc?

They have a Dreadwing. Otherwise? I have no idea… We know almost nothing about penguin culture. Considering their general mercenary nature, I’d lean towards no.
