What's your favorite set-up in Caves of Qud so far?

Hopefully I've remembered right and you were the one who occasionally posts about BDO. I just picked it up from Steam for like 4 bucks. Any tips for a beginner?
yup that's me. i recommend choosing a class that looks fun so that killing monsters is enjoyable rather than a chore. and definitely follow the main quest. the lore is forgettable but the quests help you get some gear and teach you core mechanics. explore the world at your own pace, but definitely explore. talk to any NPC with an icon above its head, find new areas, kill monsters, and do quests. if you want to try a lifeskill, look up a YouTube guide for some tips, and don't try to do everything all at once or you'll just get overwhelmed. black desert can be enjoyed casually or competitively, but the key is to have patience and go at a steady pace :)

C’arha is an absolute menace the entire dungeon run; recklessly pulling before the Tank does but managing to clear the adds she pulls with her tremendous amount of burst damage to the horror of her party. When progressing through the dungeon she spends all of her time making inappropriate commentary and shouting to garner the attention of mobs. During trash pulls she is a valuable asset to have and her burst AOE damage is incredibly helpful. As for boss fights? Baby girl is a bastard that robs LB3 before it even pings. When it comes to AOE markers? :DDD She WILL stand in AOEs if it means getting her positionals for 100% uptime. Tank buster? Don’t matter. Cleave? Don’t matter. Uptime Uptime Uptime!

"I have been through hell and come out singing"
Hooded and cloaked, she was. Bright, sunset eyes glaring out from beneath.. and a deepened shade of crimson painted upon lush lips - the only features to be seen.
The Seeker sat with hands resting in her lap, legs crossed over each other. Eyes darted to note each and every detail of the figure who now sat before her - remaining silent aside from the jingle of jewelry greeting each other in a light clamour that kissed at the very walls of the poorly lit, smoky room.
“Tell me, then, child, you seek something.. Mmn?”
A short pause, before continuing, leaning forward for her face to become closer to the man before her.
“.. Do you not? Perhaps.. A passage, is it?” At this, a clear smirk curled along her lips. Something about what she’d said had amused her -- Or was it the reaction it had produced?
Not long afterward, her ears were then greeted with an answer. Mention of the Heavens, and of course, Hell, too. Physical things that this person had experienced in their life time.. And the mention of how it had been akin to being in a realm of hell.
“The Hell in which I’ve been through, and here I’ve come, singing.”
The Thavnairian paused to light incense to burn before she pondered her answer.. Firstly breaking silence in the form of a light snicker,
“Ah.. Yes. This one sees such a thing in you. Think you wear it on you.. Though.. Not on a sleeve, no.. Proud, are you? To overcome..”
“.. And yet.. You’re unhappy with it. You seek something.. more.. mmn. Physical mayhaps. You wish for material. For a touch.. Something to show for overcoming, no? More than that of scars, we think..?”
A fanged grin was once more produced as she spoke in tongues, noting a look of utter puzzlement upon her guest’s face. “You do not understand, do you? Hmmn.. Then you must look. Look here, and here..” The Seeker, pointing to her heart, then to the top of her head. “One lies, the other.. Not. Find which and the answer of what you wish will appear.”

What kind of character is Tessana?
Tess is a character in the middle of having her mind changed about the world she thought she knew. Being a Garlean who never was exposed to the outside world, she has a lot of misconceptions about Eorzea and other territories. She’s not a bad person, though she agrees with a one nation, one people world order, however, if she knew the full extent of what was happening to make that happen, she would be against it. She’s a paranoid character, afraid of being found out and hurt because of who she is. Overall, she’s a nervous, young woman who likes to tinker and mine ore!!
Persona and SMT titles up on Steam now? If so, I know what my next paycheck is getting.

Onion Knight- Talk about a hardship you experienced and how you learned from it.
I...Barely graduated college. It’s not something I talk about fondly or happily because while I am glad that I graduated, it was not a pleasant experience for me. I was half alive, drugged out of my mind on antipsychotics and wanting to die. I barely made it through after several suicide attempts and various mental breaks. I learned from this experience that there is only so much stress you can put on the human brain before it begins to crack. It’s not commendable to work at 1000% all the time and be proud of doing the thing while being half alive when you finish it. I wish I could do it over and take my time. Maybe I would have enjoyed myself.
Archer- Tell us about a goal you are pursuing.
Better self discipline, self control, self love and taking A FUCKING BREAK. YOU CAN TAKE A BREAK MIYO IT’S OKAY!
