Gunner is terrible at friendship. He’s bad at most things that require not shooting someone, but he manages with Lorna. He doesn’t know why she doesn’t annoy him as much as most people, but she doesn’t. 

One of the reason Gunner likes being around Lorna is he doesn’t have to hide the lack of humanity. His family isn’t completely human, most of his family, especially his mom’s side, isn’t human at all, and it’s nice to not need to pretend.

If anyone actually did manage to hurt Lorna and Gunner found out, he would not hesitate to kill them. She’s on a very short list that not even all of his siblings are on.

Gunner spends most of his birthday trying to dodge his friendlier siblings. And Casey. Because he knows Casey is always trying to get him to do "normal" things.

11-14 gunner

11. What was their first kiss like? 

Rough and demanding, the kind to make him a little weak at the knees. He had been 15 and stupid, but gods, that first kiss had been like breathing. 

12. How many pets have they had throughout their life? Which was their favorite? 

Looool none. Gunner does not see the point of pets and, honestly, neither does his mother.

13. What does their bedroom look like? 

Neat. Not a lot of personal affects. It’s really just a place to sleep and nothing more.

14. If they had one letter or one voicemail to send to a loved one and could never speak to them again, what would they say? (sender can specify loved one or recipient can choose)

He’d do this for Robin because, honestly, he’s not close to anyone in his family. If he had to go the familial route, he might go Casey, but even that’s iffy. But he would want Robin to know that his feelings for him were real and that he doesn’t want to cut ties, especially not like this, but it’s better this way. Safer. Because Robin is his weakness and it’s only a matter of time before someone else realizes this and targets him.

Gunner is kind of terrified of babies. He’s never really been around them and, while he adores Lorna and would be very protective of her kid, he absolutely DOES NOT want to hold the baby because “WHAT IF I DROP IT, LORNA?!” but he won’t admit that he’s legit afraid.

When he found out she was pregnant, he started reading pregnancy books? Mostly because if there was something that went wrong when they were hanging out, he’d want to make sure he was as prepared as he could possibly be to help until he could get her to a doctor that was, ya know, trust worthy. 

The only time Lorna would get away with crying at a movie around Gunner is during the pregnancy. After that, he’d go back to teasing her, but even he’s smart enough to know you do not make fun of a pregnant lady if you value breathing.

Lorna made Gunner watch a girly movie once and he, to this day, has not let her live down and he has no intentions of ever doing so.

The main reason he hasn’t introduced Lorna to his mother is for her safety. Val has a lot of enemies, Lorna has more than enough on her plate as is. The last thing Gunner wants is for someone to associate Lorna with Val and go after her.

Gunner also does not want Lorna meeting some of his siblings. This is mostly Willow and Casey but for different reasons. Willow is unstable and he doesn’t want to deal with his oldest sister threatening his best friend. Casey just annoys him and he knows she’ll embarrass him in front of Lorna.
