Col. Lanzo “Stripes” Hichtenauer

Not all Stellar Armaments are guns. Lanzo is owner of the Stellar Armament “Old Fashioned”, appropriately representing the Tradition aspect of the Cauled Star. Many of his foes laugh at him for bringing a sword to a gunfight, and they almost invariably died choking on steel. He prefers the broader apellation “Novae” to describe himself as the wielder of a Stellar Armament, rather than a Gunslinger or Bladeslinger.

Lanzo was and remains a firm believer in the five Vulcani, the Kelman pantheon, who were among the members of the True Gods that went silent during and after the Reckoning. In the seven years since the Reckoning, he has seen countless of his countrymen abandon the old faith for the only remaining gods, the Twelve Stars. Though he carries a divine instrument of the Twelve Stars, and still pays them their fair tribute, for they are still True Gods, he nonetheless seeks a way to bring the Vulcani and the rest of the True Gods back. The Twelve Stars, for their part, haven’t brought up any objections… so far.

Some would call Lanzo little more than an attack dog of the New Immanent Order. It is true that the dissolved remains of the KGP formed the core of the NIO, and his loyalties to the Kelman people are comparable to his ties to his old faith. As the NIO continues to maintain the old faiths and preserve the remnants of his beloved country, he doesn’t see any issue with serving the Order… but one day, he may have to choose.
