Guruzo Strongblade (Guides-Them-Home)
Bio | Headcanons | Blog
An Argonian who was raised by a family of Nords in Shor's Stone. Guruzo is a friendly blacksmith, enchanter, and warrior who also works as a spy for the Stormcloak Rebellion.
Business Practices
Guruzo decided to wander out from the college for a quick drink. He had a lot on his mind and he figured a few drinks would do just the trick. He made his way into the inn and sat up at the bar. He ordered mead and began to drink it before he heard the sound of a woman, selling her wares in the bar. It seemed like a peculiar place to set up shop, and he wasn’t sure how the barkeep didn’t straight up throw her out for it. However that was one of those things, that Guruzo knew he shouldn’t question.
He turned to look at the Breton, seeing what she had to sell, but as he looked over at her he noticed something rather shocking. Her eyes where a glowing orange, that seemed to stick out against the dark corners of the inn. Guruzo began to tense up, realizing what she was, a vampire.
Guruzo turned back quickly, trying to not seem to surprised, lest he appear too fearful. No, he couldn’t let her know what he was. It was best to keep an eye on her to see what her intentions were, then strike if he had to.
Madeline noted the beastman that seemed to tense and stare briefly before going about his business once more; she would not have survived as long as she had if her eyes did not catch such subtleties. Her usual response, as was her response now, was to act casual. Continuing with her peddling, she called out to the uncomfortable Argonian, betting on proving her peaceful intentions by being a friendly person. "Good evening, friend," she chimed, holding up a potion bottle filled with a curious white liquid. There was a smile in her gaze and, while the golden glow of her eyes was intimidating, the person behind them seemed more interested in selling her stock than biting necks. "Might I offer you a potion of invisibility? Or perhaps a potion to increase your magicka? My wares are all reasonably priced, and I offer discounts for those who buy in bulk." Madeline winked at him playfully. A little flirtation went a long way when it came to sales. "Perhaps even an extra discount for a handsome lad such as yourself?"
In the same vein of guiltless coercion, she had done quite a few favors for the innkeepers, as well as some less than legal jobs for the higher-ups in the College of Winterhold and the town proper, including the Jarl himself. In exchange, the innkeepers offered a friendly relationship and a roof, and she sold her potions for reasonable prices that the residents seemed grateful enough for. She had visited Winterhold quite often before she fell to vampirism, though she only interacted with the professors and a handful of mages. The most notable of these was Enthir, her fence and friend and Thieves Guild contact in this remote land. He sat within the tavern at a respectable distance as he typically did, on especially cold nights like this one. He seemed undeterred by the woman's change in eye color; she had made it clear to him that she had been seeking a cure ages ago, and never once harmed an innocent for their blood since she became an official creature of the night. Besides, she was one of the few of the guild that visited this far north regularly; her travel journals and interest in the Falmer language was always a welcome topic of conversation for him, so they got along swimmingly.
Anime Detour 2008 - Greg Ayres' panel (1) (by ZZalapski)
((Guruzo's voice canon, this is best I could find for him. xD It works.))
((Alrighty Bedtime. Send Asks?))
((Just a note))
((I’m not sure how many of you read my post regarding my future with ‘Ruzo, Dagur, and Sahria. I have temporarily added another character to the blog, but this does not mean I will stop rping with the three. They will still be accepting asks and on occasion rps. I just need another character right now so I don’t lose interest entirely and disappear.
So yeah just a little something.))
Big friggen headcanon post, because I'm changing this to a linked page.
Guruzo Headcannons:
-Guruzo has a fear of horses, specifically touching or riding them. He is surprisingly okay with riding in carriages though.
-Guruzo tends to behave nervously around females he finds attractive, tending to stumble over his words and become very tense.
-Regarding races, Guruzo has no strong opinions on Redguard, Khajiit, Bretons, Imperials, Orsimer, or fellow Argonians.
As an Argonian raised among Nords he feels a level of kinship with Nords, but his experiences have taught him to watch what he says around them for he knows all too well the prejudices that some people have towards his birth race.
Guruzo outright distrusts Altmer, having trouble disconnecting them from the Thalmor. He has a bad habit of confusing Bosmer and Altmer as well. Ironically, he has a great deal of appreciation for Dunmer, feeling he can relate to the racism they face.
-Guruzo has a strange fascination with dragons, particularly the resilience of their scales and bones. This has resulted in him teaching himself crafting weapons and armor from dragon bones and dragon scales.
-Guruzo cannot blush, since he his cold blooded. However, when he is nervous, embarassed, around someone he fancies, his tail will twitch
Dagur Headcannons:
-Dagur always carries at least one bottle of mead with him no matter where he goes. Should he not have any mead on him at anytime, he becomes very paranoid.
-Dagur is very confident with women, almost to the point of being too forward. this often gets him in quite a bit of trouble when he frequents the taverns.
-Dagur tends to treat members of most races on an equal level, although Dagur’s attitude may come off as racist since he tends to uses stereotypes as jokes.
However, he is incapable of talking to Altmer. Their attitude and their voices are like needles on a chalkboard to Dagur and never fail to anger him. Dagur also has a burning hatred of the Forsworn, a hatred born form his time in the Reach.
-Dagur has a hard time showing emotion. He thinks it makes him look like less of a noble Nord.
Sahria Headcannons
-Sahria is completely oblivious of the politics of Skyrim. She didn’t even know about the Civil War until Guruzo and Dagur told her. Needless to say, because of this she is biased in favor of the Stormcloaks.
Headcanon
Guruzo never uses nicknames with people if he knows their real name. It's a strange habit of his that he can't seem to break. He will, however use a nickname if the use of their real name truly annoys the person he's talking to.
Father and Son [A Family Drabble.]
Guruzo looked peculiarly at the man before him. Did this man just call him, his son? Could this be the man he was searching for for all these years? How did he even recognize him fr that matter? This was probably a trick by a beggar trying to make a few extra coin off of him.
"If you're my father, then let me ask you, on the night in Shor's Stone what was I wrapped in?" he asked as he slowly stowed his axes.
The Argonian did not miss a beat, "It wassss a blanket, with a note. On it wasssss, your name and your mother an I'ssss namessss in Jel."
Guruzo dropped to his knees. All of it, every bit of it was correct. There was no doubt, It was him. It really was his father standing before him.
Sleeps kneeled down by his son and put a hand on his shoulder, "I am sssso ssssorry, that I left you on that porch, alone. It'ssss haunted me since the very day we left you there."
A tear came to Guruzo's eye, "Oh for Talos sake, dad! I don't care! All my life I've wanted to know you and now I do!" he throws himself at his father wrapping his arms around him.
Sleeps caught his soon as leaped into his arms. There where no words for how happy he was in this moment, a joyful tear rolled down his face as he saw the tears of joy spring from Guruzo's eyes. All of his worries and fears where out to rest. His son was alive and he didnot hold his absence against him
