someone dropped off a half-starved pitbull on the backroad where my folks live, so my parents are taking care of him. it's safe to say that Gus is pretty attached

my dad's been calling him Captain, in keeping with the Lonesome Dove theme.

Gus sometimes has a problem with barking, but his new friend Roscoe (neighbor man's French Bulldog mix) is barking up an absolute STORM at the deer near the back of the property while Gus is silent as the grave like

i said "good boy, Gus! good boy! not like Roscoe"

when Roscoe gets too mouthy Gus pushes him over with his giant head. it's very funny.

my second youngest brother is the only person in the family big enough to pick up Gus and carry him like a baby, and because of this Gus will play with him a bit more roughly than he will other folks. but since Gus is used to always being bigger than his other playmates... he sometimes miscalculates

when the awawawa goes too far
