Okay like,, I know the spirit of a gush is to just go for it in the moment but I also like being able to clear the air for it first so, ,, would you like to hear about the little bug love of my life, the most special butterfly on the face of the earth, bc I have so many bugs on my mind after I got a commission done of my bugsona who I've drawn with pouf a bunch and, by extension, That Man is now back on my mind a whole lot and there seems to be a funny little overlap between him and atsushi and it's the genuine struggles with mental illness + feeling worth being loved, I am just Thinking So Much 👁 👁
The fact that both of our darlings went through so much from hell and back to prove themselves worthy of any love, self worth, or praise is SO heartbreaking. 🥺😭🥺😭💔💔💔
I see myself too much of myself in Atsushi like how you see yourself and your internal struggles in Pouf.
Especially to the people they tried to prove it to. The similarities of their trauma towards their own mentors/authority figures are way too uncanny. With Pouf regarding his beloved king, and Atsushi with his headmaster. For sure Pouf and Atsushi have shitloads of mental illnesses including PTSD, and there’s no denying it.
This just inspires me to hold, hug, and kiss my sweet tiger baby Atsushi more. Just like how you do with your beloved Pouf. I want to soothe his troubled mind and make the pain go away. But we all know recovery from trauma is not that simple. It’ll take years to recover properly, but I know for sure I can feel that love through him to me. We’ll both lift up and inspire each other no matter what to do better.
