we. wilson's lamenting not having a child and he groups house in with his desire for the life he wishes he was living. but not at all because he wants to be living that life with house. it's the opposite. he thinks they both should be living something better than the life they're living with each other. we are missing out in the sense of. us together here is preventing us from living lives with greater meaning. but also we as in i care about your life as much as mine. we as in i believe we’re the same. but also therefore we as in i'm disregarding the idea that you're different to me. we as in i'm defining your life's worth the same way i'm doomed to define mine. we as in your life's worth is the same as mine. and we both need something else. something more. we have the same we live the same and we are therefore missing the same and so what we should be doing is having kids and lives apart. the things we love together aren't enough. the lives we live together aren't enough. we're missing out. but there always remains that we. wilson's inescapable grouping of he and house together coupled with his belief that they would be better apart. my dumb whore

i remember being excited about house md having a hockey episode (i love hockey it’s like my entire personality) but i completely wasn’t expecting house to put wilson through dad simulator by hiring a child actor to pretend to be wilson’s long lost son to prove to wilson that he isn’t ready to be a father??? and like yeah wilson is pissed at him but in the end he’s relieved that he doesn’t have a kid which like 1) ouch and 2) um shouldn’t we unpack that? but we kinda can’t because this was literally just before the cancer arc. oh and this is a hockey themed episode. yay.
