Episode Review: Reacher - S2, E8

Ep 8: Fly Boy Do we think Langston really thought Reacher walked in there without a plan?  It seems shortsighted for him, considering his boasting about getting paid 65M.  He thinks he's so smart, but he's underestimated Reacher the entire time. Even as his minions and paid for hire individuals failed to kill him.

Who does he think he is?  Captain America??   🤣   Because when Reacher jumped onto the helicopter that's all I thought of was the way Cap hung onto the rail.  (And then he catches the gurney with Dixon?  Out the back of the chopper?  Come on.  I mean.  I love ridiculous stunts as much as the next guy - Fast and Furious I'm looking at you!  But this show is supposed to be based in reality.  And he's strong but geezus is that even possible without dislocating his shoulder?

No one deserved to go out the helicopter more than Langston.  Such a satisfying end to him.  And I feel a little bad that I thought negatively of O'Donnell for a couple of episodes.

There was a lot of killing in this season of Reacher, goddamn.  And they lined up like a firing squad to take out "seller" in such an over the top way.  But they weren't done!  After letting the pilot and scientist escape to the helicopter, they blew it down with a missile/bazooka.  And for the cherry on top, the group called in to help (from the Senator,) turned on them on the Senator's order.  Geezus.

The picture they make sitting at the diner, 3 out of 4 them bleeding/covered in cuts and bruises, Neagley the only one unscathed.  I know it wasn't their first priority, but they could have tried to wipe some of the blood away.  And there was no rhyme or reason on how they doled out the money: checks, random deposits in the bank, boxes of money.  Boxes of it. 

All the feels for the photo they take.  💜  Just the four of them, it's sad but sweet.  And I love Neagley telling Reacher he's got to do better about keeping in touch.  (Really wish he'd get a phone, maybe one that only Neagley knows about it.)
