Cortez does a good job as the legal eagle tho #truthfully Mason is that rare part that almost any actor could play (there's almost no physical description of him in the books‚ nor much #investigation of his character or personality outside the main plots of his cases). this is fun tho! i mean it's brief and rapid and it #doesn't make a whole lot of sense but it is fun and it does feature a cat (but NOT a black cat bizarrely)#you have to wonder why they retitled this from the novel (the case of the caretaker's cat). presumably to play on a Poe association?#director Crosland was killed in a car wreck during production with McGann finishing the film which might account for the disjointedness
