the dynamic between guydelot and sanson is unrivaled because its the drunk flirty sassy asshole bard elf who does whatever he wants and no one can tell him otherwise & the frowny strict no bullshit allowed john hyur guy who is kind of anal about doing the right thing and/or doing things right

so you think ah! this is a classic trope! this is one of the big hits of the summer! flirty x serious! in which sanson will always get bothered by guydelot pushing his buttons! and guydelot will always stirr shit between them while secretly pining for the guy! and sanson will always hide or deny his feelings!

and then you play the bard questline and find out that their entire dynamic is "sanson gets an idea and is so earnest, honest, impulsive and stubborn about it that guydelot has to stop his mandatory brooding session bc he has to figure out how to make shit work for sanson before he gets himself hurt". and you're there to either third wheel or join the polycule

Tbh I've been wanting to draw them since I first did the bard quests... Ignore the fact I spelled his name wrong lol. I know it feels obvious for Guydelot to be out and proud and secure in his sexuality but I think its so much funnier if its Sanson that has everything figured out and Guydelot is still working through some stuff

My HC for them are pretty obvious from the above—Sanson is a gay man and Guydelot is pansexual. They're both cis in most of my universes though Sanson is a trans man in the Cyberpunk AU. They are mostly mono except for when I want to throw Nourval into the mix!

Sanson to me is a binary man and he identifies a such—even when he is trans he considers himself a man and not just in the wider masc spectrum. I do put him in a lot of gnc clothing though because he deserves to look pretty as a treat, and I think he's someone who actually does care about his appearance despite being known as a no-nonsense person.

I kinda swung between bi and pan for Guydelot, though in the end I decided that gender expressions hold very little weight for him so he is now pan! He doesn't have any preference for either end of the spectrum and only harps about banging maidens to annoy Sanson, whom he knows is gay lmao.
