just some stuff i pulled from a tamotsu shinohara art book. I never know how to talk about it but there's something about the specific aesthetic and industry conventions of tokusatsu monster suit design and construction that is just so cool; The pace they churn those things out at for Saturday morning shows. The way they're so detailed despite most only showing up for one episode. The whole niche of the suit actor as a profession. The creative ways they find to play with and work around the limitations of having to fit a guy into whatever other silhouette they can concoct
