When I was running my Nornvember fashion contest in the GW2 discord, people would often ask "but what about myyyyyy favourite race?" and I jokingly suggested that we should also host Humanuary, Charrch, Mayvari/Sylvaray, Asuraugust, just yaknow, need someone to organise it and pony up some prizes.

I wasn't able to wrangle anyone into doing Humanuary, but someone did step up for Charrch!

So if you're in to charr fashion, or want to submit an entry showing off your lovely battle cats, head over to the GW2 Community Discord discord.gg/guildwars2 and look in the #charrch channel ! Tons of prizes to be won, several thousand gold worth of prizes in total, and the occasional raffle where all you need to do is post an emoji reaction. Any questions or comments please let me know. 100 GW2 GOLD TRIVIA CONTEST!

While writing “Redemption of Ceara”, I added in references to a few things found in game, like Amaranda saying “Excuse me! I’d like to talk to you!” when she was lost in Rata Sum and The Aspect saying things that Mordremoth would later say in the Dragon Stand meta battle. There are a few things referenced found out of the game from different media as well, some of it obscure. Probably the most notable was the “Over 9000″ when Shikijo and Joujou meet The Aspect for the first time at the Tower of Nightmares ruins. These obscure references are where the trivia question comes from. So here it is...

In chapter 2 of “Redemption” our wayward sylvari finds a group of Covington pirates living in a shanty dwelling int he marshes of Bloodtide Coast. This group of pirates is led by Captain Riggs. The captains full name is Edward Riggs. 

What did I reference to create that name? It might be easy for some of you, it might be tough for others. You will probably have to do a little bit of research. The first person to send me an Ask with the correct referenced material that I pulled that name from will win 100 in game gold in Guild Wars 2.

LiTRP’s Halloween Outfit Contest!

Halloween’s just around the corner, so it’s the perfect time to get spooky and win some nifty prizes!

OUR PRIZES:

1st Prize: 800 gems worth of items or gold

2nd Prize: The Crossing (worth 119 crafted/209 on TP)

3rd Prize: Timekeeper Mace and a selection of spooky Minis (worth ~50g)

THE THEMES:

1. Deities

(Human Gods, Spirits of the Wild, Abbadon, hell, dress up as the Eternal Alchemy if you want)

2. Dragons (Elder Dragons? Glint? Aurene? The choice is yours)

3. Dungeons (Don’t just go with a set of dungeon armor! Every Dungeon has a theme, such as Ice for Sorrows Embrace, Fire for Citadel of Flame, Sci-fi-esque for Crucible of Eternity - think outside the box! Get creative!)

THE RULES:

- Each entry has to submit three outfits, one for each theme. - Specify what your costume is - don’t just throw us a random outfit and go “That’s a Deity”. Tell uf which one! - If you find yourself unable to work with a theme, you may substitute one of these three themes with the theme “Pirate”. See it as a joker, because the judges like pirates. - Usage of Gemstore Outfits will not be counted. Only use armor skins. - Telling us what skins you used would be helpful

WoodenPotatoes announces player funded Guild Wars 2 Path of Fire Contest

Prize poll worth over 81,490 gold; Top Prize is ALL the Core Legionary weapons

In celebration of Path of Fire, A player run contest has hit the Guild Wars 2 Community but it calling is large would be an understatement.

Lead by noted Guild Wars 2 Youtuber WoodenPotatoes, and with may of the prizes contributed by his fans, this contest seeks to increase the number of Guild Wars 2 You Tube content creators and increase the visibility of GW2 in general.

 “After five years of massive content updates and sweeping feature updates, Guild Wars 2 is a completely different and much improved MMO to what it once was,“ WoodenPotatoes wrote on the contest website.

“Sadly, however, it can be hard to make people reassess a many year old opinion, and the reality is that many ultimately good products don't get the recognition they deserve. Guild Wars 2 is unquestionably in the strongest state it has been in years...”

Entry into the contest is easy, per WP’s website:

The contest runs between now and the start of Living World Season 4. Only entry will be accepted per person with the last entry submitted to be considered.

NORNVEMBER IS HERE!

A simple before/after for a contest with a winter theme. This place evoke me the tranquillity and the power of this season, that cold which could transform a 1001 nights gold palace into a frozen temple infested by ice imps.

This place is one of the most magical ever in GW2 and far far away from the habitual representations of winter in that game, as the norn lands. I love both, but their are differents winters.
