I just read a fic and ooughhh batfamily thoughts. they're all trapped in a cycle of violence and trauma, the ring themselves dry everyday fighting the city so that one less person is hurt by gotham and its spikes. Bruce pulls these kids in and they're trapped in the maze with him but it was bound to happen no matter what. Gotham creates her villains the same way she creates her heros. they were fated to suffer and it's their destiny to suffer and to wish that no one else ever should again. they're all determined bcs of their hurt and hurt by their determination and even though they're all trapped at least they're trapped together. it was going to happen no matter what they might as well make each other better for it
