I hate those nights when I'm lost in thoughts of you.
What am I to you?
Falling inside the black • {Taekwoon/Jongup}
It was just another ordinary night for Jongup, one of those long and boring nights where his crave for something to hunt down wasn't going to be fulfilled. It was happening a lot lately and he couldn't help but wonder if it was because those things were turning smarter or if it was just him losing his natural sense for finding them out.
He was almost resigned to come back home when he saw someone walking into his direction, it took just a moment for him to recognize that guy he went to drink with just a few nights before.
It was only when he finally got closer that he left the quite hidden spot he was just for the sake of mocking him.
"Again out in the night, kid?"
De Sirenibus • {Hyojung/Jongup}
Was the sound of the sea the one he was hearing? When and most of all -how- did he get there? The last thing he had some memory of was himself getting drunk somewhere on the night before, probably he wasn't even alone but that wasn't for him to know.
His head was throbbing so bad there was no way he could have reached that place with his own feet or at least not without some help. The fact was, though, he was now there alone, not having the slightest idea how far from home he was. There were no sea in the center of Seoul, despite the hangover he was pretty sure about that.
He moved a few trembling steps into the warm sand surrounding him as far as the eye could go, his sense of solitude growing deeper the more he noticed no one except him was around. Even if he didn't want to admit it he was starting to get a little panicked, was his amnesia came back once again? How long did was he passed out this time? Only God knew how long he could have travelled in that case, maybe he wasn't even in his city anymore. Before realizing it he was running on the shore, dying to find someone around.
It was only when he finally spotted someone in distance that he felt like breathing again; he stopped his run, trying to take back his breath before approaching that person he now recognized as a woman probably around his age or just a little older.
When he bowed his head and called for her attention that voice in his mind that kept on repeating all time long "Jongie, Jongie, Jongie don't disappoint me this time~" was gone already.
"H-Hello... ? "
Show me how to live • {Jungkook/Jongup}
He hated to admit it but, as much as he loved attending to his business alone, for that business that came along just a few days before he definitely needed some help . Not that he was new to the killing thing but that was the very first time his trusty jackknife wouldn't have been of any use. "What sort of thing is something that keeps on moving around with its head chopped of?" he asked to himself, muttering a low curse as he listed in his thoughts all the things he gave some peace to that way in the past months. He would have been a liar if he said a sudden rush of thrill didn't run all along his back, making him almost tremble in anticipation for that new case.
Losing time that way though wasn't going to take him anywhere, and he knew it way too well to not kick again in the back of his mind all of those thoughts worthy of a timewaster almost immediately. "You're not going to save anyone this way, Jongup. Move that ass of yours and get things done" even his conscience decided to pay him a visit, just in case he needed even more motivation.
He spent the day before that asking around as many questions as he could without resulting suspicious, at least not in the eyes of the law -it was always a bother having officials around, especially those times when things couldn't be lead with that much of discretion- so in the end he couldn't help but trust the words of an old acquaintance of his. He wasn't really the best of the options, everyone was aware of it, but he had no other choice. "Trust me! He's the best around!" that man sounded so convincing when telling him so in the end he gave up, deciding for once to trust him and give a try to the guy he was recommending him. At the very end, if he wasn't the right one, he had nothing to lose.
He followed the directions he received and he swore to god he had to read them badly because the man he had kept an eye on the whole evening could have been everything but a killer. Since when they were teens with pretty faces? Movies didn't teach him anything like that... but after all, they also teached him monsters actually doesn't exist so there was still that slight chance they lied on something else too.
He sighed almost exasperated, pulling at his hair in an attempt to not give up to that sudden need to bump his head into the wall he was using as a support for himself. Pulling out the now all balled and creased piece of paper he shoved into the front pocket of his jacket previously on that day, he couldn't help but notice, and take evidence for the hundreth time, that the adress he was at was the right one.
"So it's really him?" he said in a breath, raising a brow as he finally decided to leave that wall and take a step closer to the front door of the other's house, knocking on it. When it was open he didn't lost any time in compliments or greetings.
"Sir. It happens I have some business to attend and it also happens I need your help."
