one thing that kinda pisses me off
the lack ov good Hunter S. Thompson quotes on here every time i look, i see the same old shit. the man had some seriously funny and witty lines, but all i see iz "when the weird turn pro" or "this iz batcountry" i hate pop culture they fucken ruin everything with that said here a good one i came upon taday. "So. Let's simply quit. Call and spade a spade and admit that we over-extended ourselves. and stop trying to peddle this bladerdash about the menace of Red China. They're not going to bomb or invade us. Russia hasn't and they've had nuclear weapons for nearly twenty years. And I don't think I need to explain why." H.S.T.
What was I doing here? What was the meaning of this trip? Was I just roaming around in a drug frenzy of some kind? Or had I really come out here to Las Vegas to work on a story? Who are these people, these faces? Where do they come from? They look like caricatures of used car dealers from Dallas, and sweet Jesus, there were a hell of a lot of them at 4:30 on a Sunday morning, still humping the American dream, that vision of the big winner somehow emerging from the last minute pre-dawn chaos of a stale Vegas casino.
