[16:19:04] * Aimie_Jane sits in the medical suite with eyes half closed, breathing anesthetizing gas [16:19:28] <Breyos> ... [16:19:29] * Aimie_Jane in short, gasping draws of breath [16:19:37] <Breyos> Isn't this a sight...? [16:20:23] * Breyos stays by the open doorway, tilting his head slightly to one side as he crosses his arms. [14:30:06] <Breyos> Hardly surprising. [14:31:22] <EggplantWitch> The funny thing is, in the end, Py testified against her anyway. [14:31:53] * Breyos picks up his tea again, sipping it with a faint smirk. [14:32:00] <Breyos> Hmmm... [14:32:15] <EggplantWitch> she was the defense. You can't tell me I didn't win when the DEFENSE said she was guilty. [14:33:44] <Breyos> Did you know of any minister who shared my name? [14:07:22] * Breyos slowly walks up to the clinic, hands behind his back but head low. [14:07:46] * Breyos straightens his back as he walks in. [14:08:02] <Local_Deviant> I'm glad to see you actually came [14:08:24] <Breyos> It was quite the surprise for me as well. [14:09:02] * Breyos takes in the smell of disinfectant [14:09:07] <Breyos> Hmm... [14:09:24] * Local_Deviant hands him a hospital gown* Put this on, theres a room right over here [14:09:38] * Breyos takes the gown but frowns [14:10:10] <Breyos> I'm.... not wearing this. [14:10:29] <Local_Deviant> What, are you going to wear your nice suit [14:10:56] <Local_Deviant> Its clean, please just humor me [14:11:22] <Breyos> A t-shirt should suffice. And a clean cover. [14:36:49] <Local_Deviant> Ok Mei I-...*coughs and puts on a new pair of gloves and takes the prepared anesthesia needle from [14:36:55] <Local_Deviant> the table beside her* [14:37:04] * Breyos's breathing pattern is even and calm but trembling ever so slightly as he hold out his arm. [14:38:02] <Breyos> 5 milligrams should be sufficient. [14:38:28] * Local_Deviant glances at his face and brings the needle to his arm* Breyos I promise you this is a simple [14:38:40] <Local_Deviant> surgery and you have nothing to worry about [14:39:20] <Breyos> -...and 2 grams for the surrounding tissue. Don't forget. [14:39:20] * Local_Deviant injects the anesthesia into his blood stream and takes another needle out* [14:39:35] <Local_Deviant> Yes I know [14:40:59] * Breyos opens and closes his fist several times after the syringe is pulled out of his vein. [14:41:31] * Local_Deviant removes his bandages and wipes the area with a sterile wet cloth before releasing the other [14:42:04] <Local_Deviant> dose of liquid into the muscles near his eye* [14:43:12] * Breyos remains quiet, feeling the numbing sensation spread. [14:43:28] * Local_Deviant places the needles back down and cleans the area once more before placing a cloth over [14:43:57] <Local_Deviant> his face, it only shows the withered eye* [14:44:50] <Breyos> The benefit of 7 milligrams in total... is that it works quickly. [14:45:22] <Local_Deviant> I hope you wont talk as much during surgery [14:45:23] <Breyos> Yet consciousness remains. [14:45:40] <Breyos> A good doctor has a steady hand. Their 'names' are primal sounds and hold no meaning. [14:58:44] * Local_Deviant pushes the 2 clamps carefully into his eye socket then pulls up slightly so the eye slides out [14:58:48] <Breyos> There was only ever one creature I deemed unique enough to burden with a given name. It was most certainly not my first time in the Nether... surrounded by its creatures. [15:02:47] <Breyos> Ghasts are often thought to be solitary. But they are not. Their territory is simply enormous. [15:03:16] * Local_Deviant inspects the now visible optical nerve and hisses slightly as she see that the wither material [15:03:24] <Local_Deviant> has spread slightly to it* [15:04:28] * Breyos still tries to stay still but his hands and breathing keep trembling [15:04:47] <Breyos> The ghast flock is lead by a matriarch. [15:04:59] <Breyos> Usually they are easy enough to avoid. [15:05:07] * Local_Deviant nods at breyos' words distractedly, not seeming to remember he wouldn't be able to see it and [15:05:29] <Breyos> But one time... she managed to sneak up on me. [15:05:53] <Local_Deviant> slices into the nerve, just below the withered substance* [15:06:07] <Breyos> I tried to take cover in the stronghold of the wither skeletons I was observing. [15:06:21] <Breyos> She chased me. [15:06:25] <Breyos> Like a dog. [15:06:49] <Local_Deviant> Ironic.. [15:07:10] <Breyos> I made the near-fatal mistake of taking the wrong direction and ended up in a dead end. [15:07:36] * Local_Deviant pulls the now severed eye out and places it in a sterile tin beside her* [15:07:39] <Breyos> S-she blew up my only passage out. [15:08:15] * Breyos's breathing is getting faster, making shorter breaths. [15:08:25] <Breyos> I was stuck. [15:08:41] <Breyos> And she knew I was still in there. [15:09:04] * Local_Deviant looks up and leans an arm against his own* Breyos you're not there anymore [15:09:59] * Breyos tries to force himself to calm down but is held back by the sedation. [15:14:24] <Local_Deviant> I need to flush it out then we are done [15:15:22] * Local_Deviant moves his head to the side and places a tray below his eye, the machine lets out a gentle blast [15:15:59] <Local_Deviant> of sterile water and washes away any excess blood and fluids from his eye* [15:16:31] * Breyos only now becomes aware of the marks left in the palm of his hands caused by his fingernails. [15:16:57] <Breyos> ...the eye... [15:17:09] * Local_Deviant wipes his face clean and rubs a gel into his socket* [15:17:23] * Breyos shivers slightly [15:17:24] <Local_Deviant> It will be disposed of properly do not worry [15:17:41] <Breyos> I don't think so. [15:19:22] <Local_Deviant> What do you want me to do with it then [15:20:37] <Breyos> L-let me keep it. I will... deal with the remainder. [15:21:34] * Local_Deviant places a pressure patch against his eyelid and taps his shoulder* [15:22:05] <Local_Deviant> You can get up when you feel like it, I will put the eye in a jar for you to take with you [15:22:12] * Breyos grips the edge of the table, holding on tightly as his heartrate increases. There was no bright flash

no bang or explosion

It was a whisper

a final breath,

seeping through tired lips

of someone so broken,

everyone had already

given up on them.

And still,

though darkness

has consumed the mould,

light reveals the soul.

relief is blanketed over

and carried to someplace

free.
