RRR
In this series, I embrace the beauty of simplicity and chance by removing the burden of deciding what to paint and instead focusing on creating aesthetically pleasing art open to universal interpretations. Each composition is developed on a 3×3 grid where cells are divided by randomized diagonals (up/down) and filled arbitrarily with red or left blank. The warm, light yellowish sepia tone of the paper adds an organic quality to these precise geometric forms.
In an effort to bring art directly into the public sphere, I installed 10 original pieces across three urban locations in Porto, Portugal. Additionally, a catalog of nine further pieces from this series is available for purchase.
The final pieces will be showcased in the group exhibition "Sopa de Pedra" at Térmita (Largo de Mompilher 5, Porto, Portugal), further emphasizing the project’s commitment to public art and cultural dialogue. This project invites viewers to interpret the abstract forms in their own way.
