WELL THAT CERTAINLY WAS... UNEXPECTED... 😬😂
As many of you know, I've been living with my parents for 6 months now, and that of course means that I have lived out of boxes filled with my entire life and possessions.
This of course also means that my room is an absolute disaster zone with books, DVDs, furniture and clothes scattered EVERYWHERE and even I have no idea where anything can be found...
Well, tonight I was watching TV when dad walked in and took off his sweater in preparation for bedtime.
I paid very little attention to him as Who Wants To Be A Millionaire was on TV, but then dad started commenting on the questions and as I responded to him I looked up from the TV to see...
MY 73 YEAR OLD DAD WEARING A SLIGHTLY FAMILIAR-LOOKING SHIRT...👀👕
Just... WHAAAAT THE HELL?! 😂😂😂
I swear I almost choked on my snacks... 😂😂😂😂😂
Me: "...Eh... Dad... why are you wearing my shirt...?"
Dad (looking very much as baffled and confused as VK when someone asks her what "pants" are): "Your shirt...? I... found this in my closet...?"
Mom: "Oh geeeeez, I must have found it in your room, put it in the wash and mixed it up with your dad's shirts!" 🙈
Sooooo in short, the evolution of this tragedy goes as follows:
1. In 2015 I buy a shirt from Mars Store which proves to be way too big for me (excellent size charts you have, Hivers... 🙄) so it can only be used as an occasional summertime night shirt - by my recollection I have used it maybe 3 times during all these years.
2. 6 months ago I move in with my parents and being the slob that I am, start spreading my rags all over my room, often-used clothes scattered among hardly-ever-used clothes in a sweet and messy mega-pile.
3. Mom sneaks in my room when I´m not there to look for laundry items and finds that random mega-pile which apparently included this shirt.
4. Mom washes the shirt but since it´s so big it really doesn´t fit me, and she´s a bit forgetful at her old age, she mistakenly thinks it´s one of my dad´s shirts and puts it in his closet.
5. My dad, who very rarely cares about or keeps track of what he´s wearing, takes the shirt and since it´s a good fit for him... 🤷
6. My dad is now echelon. 😭😱
