haha (oh bri u gon’ hate me) okok so the thing with fiona is...

fiona is by far the one of the few people she grows to care about. like ACTUALLY care about. her being safe, happy, breathing, just LIVING in general is enough to satisfy nisha. 

but she won’t say it’s love.

she’ll watch over her while they’re out on job. maybe be a little tougher on her to go into cover. she’ll take the more brutal shots cause fi’s just not ready for that type of blood on her hands. she’ll do a double sweep before allowing her to come through for back up. gives her a majority of the cut. 

but she doesn’t think it’s love

she’ll find trinkets on solo jobs. small little shiny things she can just keep in her pocket. it makes her remind herself to be more careful. it won’t diminish some of the risks she’ll take or her animalistic nature when it comes to killing. still she finds herself brushing her thumb over the metal or stone not knowing why it helps her get through with only minor damage.  she’ll run a long string of curses through her head; she’s being stupid, it’s not worth it. but those nights when she manages to sneak in to place that minuscule relic on fi’s pillow. that small huff of a laugh and those soft arms wrapping around nisha as she pretends to be asleep. for some reason it actually brings a smile to her face.

well fuck, is that love?

but where’s the drop? where’s the disappointment? that inevitable realization that nisha isn’t worth the trouble, or nisha isn’t good enough to keep? how she wants to spit out those questions. those accusations. add venom to the sweetness. when will the teeth gnaw at her neck? when should she get the shovel? but fi just smiles at her. lights up like she the sun. and when nish catches herself staring.... it’s like seeing heaven through hell’s eyes.

so the moment never comes the words are never said

                  but love is disease                   and fiona’s got nisha sick with it.
