Kim soleum is so funny when his internal dialogue is talking about how weird the people in the DER world like he himself isnt maybe the weirdest of all of them 😭. From the perspective of daydream employees he's an incredibly competent guy who somehow almost suspiciously always seems to know a way out or a loophole, while also never having any outward reaction to The Horrors around them. From the bureau perspective he's a complete wimp that somehow manages to destroy any darkness he encounters. From baek saheons perspective soleum is a genuine psychopath. And from our perspective we know hes a guy living in a body made from the corpse of a dragon, his best friend is a rabbit doll that is also a TV head, and despite the fact he wants to cry when he sees a ghost he has also cut off his own arm without hesitation. He's obsessive over his goal of getting home but also willing to sacrifice himself and his goal for his friends. He's one of the most genuinely kindhearted protagonists I've ever read while also constantly lying and emotionally manipulating people around him. Like Kim soleum is truly an enigma and I love him so dearly.
