ilya knows that luca is demisexual and notices that, in every city but boston, luca will go to dinner with the team or just go home to sleep. in boston, though, he's very apologetically turning down invitations and calling a cab to an undisclosed location. ilya teases him for it of course, but he doesn't really care because he's glad that luca has someone he trusts to sleep with and if boston is where they're at then whatever. ilya also knows that luca and marleau are friends, courtesy of yuna recruiting both of them as coaches at camp. at some point ilya pieces it together and is moderately horrified because he Knows marleau. he has had threesomes with marleau. ilya doesn't particularly want to think about luca having sex but he would imagine that he isn't having the super rough sex that ilya knows cliff enjoys. so he eventually confronts marleau with his hypothesis, and upon having it confirmed because marleau isn't quite smart enough to keep his mouth shut he's all but demanding that he's nice and sweet and doesn't corrupt sweet angel luca

mind you, marleau is just blinking at him because he knows that it's actually luca who leaves him on delivered, shows up at his house unannounced, steals his clothes, gets in his mandatory post-fuck cuddles, then leaves. luca wears the clothes he steals to press conferences because he knows marleau will watch them. he draws himself naked and leaves the drawings in marley's house for him to find. he takes pictures of the bruises from marleau checking him into the boards and of bruises marleau left from them fucking, and he doesn't distinguish which is which when he sends them.

marleau doesn't tell ilya any of this, just nods and agrees that he won't defile ilya's son, but internally all he can think about is that luca is NOT the one ilya should be worried about
